Such a great place! My boyfriend and I came in at 8:50 on a random week night. I knew they closed at 9 and felt super bad. I asked the waitress if it was OK and of course she said yes. The food was fast and very good. BUT, the staff!!!! Omg, these 2 women were wonderful!! They were so nice. never made us feel rushed, were very attentive, had casual conversations and even hooked us up with a generous to go container for the super good salsa. Tuyas used to be our most favorite restaurant in the area. The flavors! The ambience! But I’m sorry to say that the last three times we’ve been there, since the bar area was established, we have been sorely, disappointed in both the food and the service. Yesterday the two waitresses could not have been less friendly or less responsive. The food is still nice but it’s not special the way it used to be. It lacked the wonderful flavors, and was served nearly cold.
