El Gallo Giro offers a variety of food options, including the highly recommended menudo and pozole. The pozole is flavorful and delicious, requiring minimal add-ins to enhance the taste. The restaurant also features tortas, including the torta cubana, described as delicious and worth returning for. Customers can enjoy authentic aguas frescas, such as agua fresca de mamey, praised for its taste and authenticity.
The restaurant is known for its friendly and welcoming team, who make guests feel at home with their warm smiles and positive energy. In addition to the main dishes, the restaurant offers Mexican bread and tamales by the dozen. Despite some concerns about loud music and chewy carne asada, the proximity, quality of dishes, and friendly service make El Gallo Giro a worthwhile visit.
Customers have praised the exceptional service provided by the staff, particularly Angela and Silvia, who are described as incredibly helpful, kind, and sweet. They have been praised for their recommendations, patience, and for making the dining experience enjoyable. Overall, El Gallo Giro is a popular destination for authentic Mexican cuisine and excellent customer service.
