All employees are nice and friendly, but the owner is an amazing human being, so humble and approachable, honest and relatable, love chatting with him every time we visit Cali, which is usually 2-3 times a year and we make sure we eat lunch and dinner at Sofra Urbana every day. I came across Moonlight Pizza and Chicken while exploring near Westminster and it turned out to be an incredible find. They offer a Middle Eastern open buffet that’s truly unbeatable for the price — $14.99 for lunch and $15.99 for dinner. Honestly, for the variety and quality, it’s an amazing deal.

The buffet spread is full of authentic flavors — the lamb stew was juicy and flavorful, the stew was rich and comforting, and the tabbouleh, hummus, and fresh salad options were top-notch. Everything tasted fresh, vibrant, and perfectly seasoned.

What makes it even more special is that this is a family-owned restaurant with over 30 years of history. You can really feel the warmth and hospitality in the service — the staff are genuinely friendly and welcoming. They also offer catering services, which I can easily imagine being a hit for any event.

The food has a wonderful blend of Turkish, Armenian, Arabic, and Persian influences, making the flavors both unique and familiar at the same time. It’s a place where you’ll want to go back again and again, not just for the food, but also for the atmosphere and kindness of the people running it.

Ellie, the staff at the counter, was very helpful and pointed out the burrata bowl option (I love burrata!) Feeling thankful already for the friendly service, I told her that I was ready to pay-- and then to my utter surprise, she told me that my meal was FREE and not to worry about it! My jaw dropped and I said-- no you don't have to do that!-- but she said it was her pleasure since it was my first time there. Wow! And the food was amazing too! Highly recommend!“

SO good. I had the eggplant special, but first I wanted to try something more adventurous. The spicy meatballs with marinara and sour cream (??) did not disappoint. The lentil soup... the (complimentary) baklava... salad, millet(?)... everything was superb.

As a delicious accent our family feasted on tasty rice, Mediterranean salad, cucumber yogurt salad, and grape leaf rolls. To top off a wonderful meal, we ordered their walnut baklava...WOW!
