“This is a diner and bakery with good diner food and excellent pies. I remember Nations in Oakland on Broadway near Jack London Square being 24/7 and close to the Oakland Police Department. When witnesses needed a meal quick, hot, good for a senior ripped off by a neighborhood banger or a witness to a murder being interviewed at 3AM Nations was the place. Fremont Nations is now a go to for excellent pies for family sweet tooths. Atmosphere is clean, corporate but conversation friendly. A nice place to meet sources of information and witnesses not under threat.“

“Interesting shop that sell primarily chicken feet.it is small store with the display of all the flavor of chicken feet and you can try any one of it. It is boneless chicken feet. It just opened couple months a go. It is not easy to find as the store name Hao Shi Ji. You order using the touch screen kiosk. It also has stand at Great mall.
Beside chicken feet it also has the rice and mince pork rice.
There are 5 variant of the flavors. For me the spicy one is good. There is also spiciest level. Pricewise I think quite high. It is unique experience.“

“Probably the best fried chicken in the area. It’s juicy, crispy yet crunchy, not too oily, and doesn’t seem to give me heartburn after consuming. The downsides are that they don’t have real fries, only wedges, and the large mashed potatoes really did not have enough gravy. The sauces are also extra. Their biscuits are one of the best, though, with honey baked in, hitting that perfect flaky / crumbly biscuit texture.

The location is a bit weird, being inside a gas station. The wait can get long (~25 minutes) if they have to fry more chicken, so call and order ahead for pickup.“

“Update August 2025: temporarily removing one star as they have very rigid ordering. Could not add a second patty to my surf and turf combo? I’m willing to pay extra, they said they can’t because the system won’t allow it. That’s pretty silly that they can’t physically cook and add a second patty just because their “system” won’t allow it? I’ll check back in a few weeks and update my review of this is fixed.

Wow! This place is GREAT! It’s definitely gourmet. Think juiciness of The Melt, casualness of In-N-Out, but gourmet quality of a proper restaurant (delicate buttery brioche buns, better quality meat), with your college town burger shack vibe. I hope they’re here to stay because this is going to be my new spot. Only wish they were open later (i.e. 11pm)!“

“I just had the freshest Jr bacon cheeseburgers ive ever experienced. Bun was perfect. Lettuce was cold. Condiments were even. “It was just a regular McDonald's where food was fast but small but they got my Vanilla Iced Coffee wrong(Not much of a difference but it was noticeable). They were fast with their work and were good at what they did. The sitting area itself was relatively uncrowded and it just felt like another McDonald's“

“It’s a hole in a wall. I ordered the adobo pusit, bansilog, sinigang broth and tocilog on two different occasions. None took away my breath. They were mediocre. The same as the surrounding Filipino restaurants. However, the owners’ friendliness and genuineness were apparent. Both sisters on two separate occasions, stopped at my table and engaged in a warm conversation, making me feel like a beloved family. I felt like I was being served at Nobu. I asked if they had coffee and she said she can make me one, which was not part of the menu, plus it was’t included on the final check. The black pipping hot coffee was in a paper dixie cup, but tasted better than coffee in Brazil. This personalized and attentive service ensured a positive experience, despite the food.

Overall, this hole in the wall offers a welcoming atmosphere and friendly owners. The food might not be the primary draw, but it’s a great choice if seeking a comfortable spot with excellent customer interactaction.“

“Not sure what is up with the people reviewing this place. Been coming here for years. The staff has always treated me with kindness and respect. For a fast food joint, the burgers are always juicy and the fries are usually right out of the fryer. I really don't know what more you can ask for. It is an older building so it has its issues which is why I knocked atmosphere. So I just take it togo.

Folks need to understand, it's fast food, not Ruth's Chris. Also that new Ghost burger is amazing.“

“One of my go to places for (fried) chicken burgers in a style back to fast food restaurants in China. Crispy and juicy fried chicken as always. The lettuce is also fresh and crunchy. The bread is fluffy but too soft with no flavor, which I always want to see the improvement on.
All in all, a good place for you when you’re missing Chinese style western fast food.“

“I went to Tapioca Express in Alhambra on Monday the 15th around noon. I ordered a Thai Tea, which is personally my favorite! I usually order Thai Tea ever where I go because I can't get enough. Haha, The two people that were helping me were Jo and Steve or Steven, I didn't quite hear the other employee name but it's somewhere along those lines. They were super nice! Right when I walked in, I was greeted with "Welcome to Tapioca Express!" It made me feel very welcomed, which is a feeling everybody should feel when they walk into a store. Since I always order Thai Tea, I just wanted to take a look at the menu and see what other options they had. They offered me other drinks but I had to stay with my usual. I liked how they were so patient with me. The Thai Tea tasted amazing! The sugar was just perfect! I will be coming back! Thank you for being patient and having a great customer service!“

The crispy chicken is very tasty and full of flavor at a reasonable price The owners keep the place very clean and neat and they r always friendly.
