I showed up and asked if they had coffee. She said no and said, ‘let me see if I have some in the back’. She proceeds to share her instant coffee with me and that’s how they cemented a place in my heart. You might think it’s weird to drink coffee with tacos but that’s ok! I very much enjoyed it. 🥰
This place seems to be a city favorite depending on who you ask. Decided to try it out with all the hype and it isn't as good as everyone makes it out to be in my opinion. These are some pretty pricey tacos I don't know if I would go back. Tortilla seemed to have been sitting on the grill way too long. Staff seems to run around like chickens with their heads cut off. Very small place so you will be waiting for a seat if you go around lunch time.
It's been a few years since I last visited. Some of the same people and some new ones too. Nothing else has changed much, other than air conditioning units.
I had two Asada tacos and one Cabesa Taco. The tacos were good, but the tortillas were a bit dry. The salsa long ago was a very tasty condiment. Then it became very spicy and just ordered it on the side. Seems like it changed again. But this time not as spicy and perhaps a little bland.
