Gen | Korean BBQ House Reviews
Excellent restaurant ,meats seasoned to authentic Korean flavor and great service ask for Megan and she will make you feel welcome and appreciated. And if you’re new to the experience she will show you the experience of cooking on your own table…very good food, cheers
For those that love Gen Korean BBQ like we do don’t eat at the one in Fullerton. They make you wait 2 hours and are kicking you out after an hour if that. At $50 a plate seriously not even the 90 min like they advertise. We had the worse service ever, the manager walks around with an iPad set on a timer and while we’re waiting on our server to bring the drink refills which took forever and then they literally were cleaning our whole area while we’re still sitting down. Gen | Korean BBQ House offers a lively and flavorful dining experience, especially for those who enjoy Korean BBQ. The restaurant features a menu with various meats, including options like the popular beef, which are seasoned to authentic Korean flavor. Guests can cook their own meals at the table, creating a fun and interactive experience. The restaurant provides an overall good atmosphere, with some locations playing music to enhance the vibe, though some reviews mention that at this specific location, there was little or no music, and service was slower than expected.
Service quality varies; some guests found the waiters friendly but slow to check on tables or take additional orders, which affected their overall experience. During busy times, wait times can be around 15 minutes to be seated, or even up to an hour when the restaurant is crowded. Once seated, service can be inconsistent, with reports of long waits for meats and sides, and no drink refills. The staff may be aloof or not attentive, leading to some disappointment.
Meals typically start with four meats, appetizers, salad, and rice, which are ordered for the table, not per person. The price is around $32.99 per guest, with some premium proteins available at additional charges. The restaurant is well-suited for celebrations like birthdays, especially when music and festive atmosphere are present. While the food is generally good, the menu could be more descriptive, including details on how to order and what accompanies each meal. Overall, it is a popular spot for Korean BBQ, but some locations and experiences may differ, so visiting a preferred or more established site might be better.
