More of a night hang out than daytime lunch. Bummed not having the Aloha local items i.e. Loco moco anymore.

Very reasonable pricing on all the dishes. This is Japanese Izakaya or tappas restaurant. Plenty of parking spaces right next to the restaurant and the hotel.Kanpai!

I love this restaurant and have been a fan since it offered free bento boxes with a stay at the New Gardena Hotel which is adjacent. The food is flavorful: the bacon fried rice DOES NOT MISS! Neither does the Beef Spareribs, nor grilled sliced pork with ginger. Love the Macaroni/Potato Salad. Flavorful food. Quaint hidden gem in Gardena.

Let's get the negative stuff out of the way : this place looks like a high school cafeteria, decor is spartan at best; service is okay, one kid was a bit clueless but helpful nevertheless. The highlight then is: the quality of the food. Ordered their signature Monjayaki which was interesting (so is the grilled stingray), their popcorn shrimp is a surprise , the eggplant with minced pork is delish, lotus root salad and jelly fish appetizer is nice too. I gave it five star purely due to the food , and the lack of patron on a Thursday night. Hope this place survives. Parking is gated within/under the Gardena Hotel

Wonderful service with friendly servers. Mabo Tofu is must try its so spicy and delicious. Draft beer was fresh and good quality. Variety of menu selections. You can dine family style or you can make individual meals. Looking forward to comeback to try more.

Stayed at the New Gardena Hotel where this gem of a restaurant was located. Read the reviews of many of the restaurants in the area and this one stood out. The food in particular was outstanding and very flavourful (the Tempura Nasu - eggplant with ground chicken and the grilled ginger pork were highlights) and the service was excellent. Looking forward to eating there again. Thank you for an enjoyable experience.

When I arrived in the Japanese restaurant with my airpod on. I was expecting a peaceful dine-in. Like quite but when the server came, she brought me to a one table and close to the noise. Laughing louder, I could not heard my own voice on my social media even there is a music on my phone with my airpod on. It was loud. Then, I call the server and I explained to them to move me to another table but when I moved to another table, I suppose to document myself in social media about my situation with my online stalker but, I am still hearing tiny noise then these youngster left after they have fun with the food. There was a 2 old men who are drunk and I am hearing racial stereotype of my race and my home country. One old guy says, “ she was reminded me my daughter “ then he said this “ go back to the Philippines “ these two old men they were talking about me because I'm Filipino and they were supposed to not doing racial bias behind my back. I told through the server, there is two drunk men and talking about my race and country. One server man “ this is a restaurant “ basically I can hear some noise but these two old men are continuing their conversation and I am still hearing same word “ go back to the Philippines “ , so, I called the server again. I don’t wanna making fight with man because I’m a woman. But these two men still saying same thing and heard from them about my language that I spoke which was taga-log. The food is tasty together with dessert and it was cheap but overall, I could not enjoy my dine-in experience with this restaurant and. It is inside of decent hotel. I would not recommend this place to enjoy the dine-in experience. I will give 2 stars out of 5 stars on google maps because what I experienced.

The most authentic Japanese restaurant I've been too since leaving Japan. Staff is top tier! Very amazing and friendly. They were even still nice to us after asking for split itemized receipts lol (needed to expense through work). This place is honestly amazing and I recommend everyone try it! The food was so delicious and was very fairly priced! We had enough food and alcohol for 4 people to be full and happy and was under $150!

Went here for my lunch as I work nearby bought the beef and veggie stir fry for 12 dollars and the portion size was so incredibly small as well the beef being very dry and flavourless.
