Came here because of an IG video. Michelin ramen in a supermarket? Ok I’ll make the drive to see what the buzz is all about. Upon further research, their other location is in the Michelin guide. It’s still clearly advertised as so at this location. But nonetheless, I did enjoy their tsukemen ramen. The broth was rich and hearty. Their noodles and chashu were extra thick and different from other tsukemen ramen I’ve tried previously. I could tell quality ingredients went into making this ramen. Was it worth the drive? Probably not but I had a great time at the Japanese market and left with an inflatable Pocky stick!

Chashu was cold, dry and tough. Flavored egg looked and tasted days old. You're eating in a cramped food court in picnic furniture. Overall kinda gross experience.

This is a little gem sitting inside the Japanese market. Their main location in Buena Park was awarded Michelin Bib Gourmand in 2023. I haven't been to that location so I'm not able to compare it.I'm leaving the review for their regular ramen, but they're known for their dipping ramen (tsukemen). Like all tsukemen specialized places, the broth is extremely creamy and heavy. The noodles are thicker. I thought the taste was fantastic, but wasn't balanced. You order at the counter and sit wherever you like. More of a quick casual spot. Pro tip: buy a drink at the market! I would recommend giving it a try if you have a heavier taste and want something quick.

In for a few quick Bao bites.Sat at this food court inside of a Grocery store I actually ate at Nikuman-y place.Chicken wings, Tai Ramon Soup, ? and a Shrimp bunn. The Cook helped us pick out our Faves as we shared what we like.He told us when we had enough selections as to not over purchase or overceat. And He & my Husband shared a few words in Japanese !! How's that for service. ?

Jiro Tsukemen is super delicious. Noodles have nice texture, thickness and color. Broth is intense as you would want it for Tsukemen and not overly heavy.Contrary to what other people wrote, Chashu was juicy - seems like this place listens to the reviews :)Few suggestions:- Make the separately provided chili powder and extra garlic an optional add-on. I didn’t really need them (broth is perfect the way it is)- Ajitama egg could have more flavorOverall, really happy to have found this place and hope to visit again!ご馳走様でした?

The Jiro ramen is so good! With minced garlic and chili powder on the side, you can add the amount you want. The noodle is flat and thin, with broth on it when you pick up with chopsticks. The broth is not that oily and the bean sprouts are crunchy!

Ramen Tao is located in the food court @ Tokyo Central in Pacific Square. The miso ramen was tasty and the noodles were al dente.Overall not bad.

The ramen is so good! The broth is the best part. It's thick and flavorful. The ramen noodles are also thick which pairs nicely with the broth. Definitely a spot to visit and come back to.

This restaurant is located inside the Gardena Tokyo Central Market food court next to Beard Papa's. They only offer a self-service ordering system that takes physical credit cards only (no cash and no Apple Pay). Like all Ramen in LA these days, it was pretty pricy. It was $19 for the regular Chashu Spicy Miso Tsukemen that I ordered. My wife had the regular Spicy White Miso Ramen for $14. It seems that they use the same broth, because she thought hers was too thick for ramen and I thought mine was too thin for tsukemen. The taste of the broth itself was good, especially with the spicy miso. The egg was slightly over-boiled and I did not find the tsukemen noodles particularly good. They seemed to be mediocre quality pre-packaged noodles. I almost gave 3 bubbles, but I am feeling generous since it was convenient as I was in the mood for tsukemen and needed to do some Japanese grocery food shopping. The food court itself was not very clean. Most of the tables were dirty and had not been wiped down, nor were cleaning materials available to customers. There were also some annoying flies buzzing around making the indoor dining experience unpleasant. So I am giving the restaurant the benefit of the doubt here and hope Tokyo Central Market does a better job maintaining their food court.

I would love to tell you how the food is but I can't. I showed up at 7:27 today to look at a closed at 8 sign. The first time I tried coming before 8 when the Google maps hours said closes at 8:30 (I've since fixed it). I tried calling at 7 before going and no one picked up.The guy was friendly but gave no explanation for why he was closed over half an hour early when I checked ??‍♀️ come early and don't trust the hours written on their kiosk or online. Frustrating to watch him serving others noodles well before closing and not be able to order

I dont get excited much for new Japanese ramen spots because I live in the Mecca of great Japanese food that is called Torrance. Every other mile up has some hidden gem of a Japanese craft. So trying TAO was certainly a pleasant surprise that overjoyed me when I realized THIS IS EXACTLY what the South Bay was missing. Ramen out here dime a dozen, but a rising star in tsukemen? I have yet to find. Sunday Hangovers will be that much better with Tao in town - also delivered by DoorDash or GrubHub. I prefer their Jiro tsukemen. It's less fatty than Tsujita Annex so you don't feel as gross afterwards for devouring such a gift from the ramen gods. Highly recommend for those who just wanna veg all Sunday in front of their streaming device nursing a raging headache, slurping up Tao ramen, and vowing for the 13th time that they've quit drinking.

Great tsukemen. It’s one of the best tsukemen I’ve had in the USA.

Great tasty ramen! I love their thick ramen and flavorful broth. The only negative I could find is that their chashu is not very tender.
