Fukagawa | Japanese Restaurant is a casual and welcoming spot known for its authentic Japanese breakfast and satisfying comfort food. The restaurant offers a range of traditional dishes, including the Japanese breakfast combo with miso soup, Japanese-style egg, and tofu, which many visitors find beautifully prepared and deeply satisfying. The Japanese umami over rice is also highly praised. Lunch specials such as the pork cutlet combo, crispy and tender, along with hot soba, salad, handroll, and rice, provide a filling and flavorful experience. The grilled aji combo is tasty, and the scorched natto roll with hot sauce is a favorite. Portions are generous, and the prices are affordable, making it a great place for casual hangouts or quiet lunches. The atmosphere is serene and lovely, featuring a sakura display that sets a peaceful mood. The restaurant has seating for large groups and a cozy room with two tables, and staff are friendly. They also offer Kirin draft beer. Overall, Fukagawa is a hidden gem in Torrance, appreciated for its traditional look, delicious food, and calming ambiance.
