Arrowood is always a nice place to visit. It's quieter on the Sonoma side. I stayed in Glenn Ellen and it's just a short drive. The view is pretty and the staff are helpful. Of course the wine is top quality. They say that they make wine where the balance and expression are achieved in the vineyard and I think that it shows in the unique style. If you are looking for incredible REDS, skip everyone else and just head here. Was delicious, the only thing missing was a meal to match it on site. Beautiful view from the wrap around porch.

The wines were incredible, and John was a wonderful host! He offered great descriptions and context for everything we tasted, and knowledgeably answered all of our questions about the winemaking process. The building itself is clean, beautiful and inviting — with lovely views of the vineyard and hills. So glad this was one of our stops!
