Went in on Sunday and picked up three servings of ice cream for 2 adults and 1 child (all small) for about $10. That's not a bad price at all (considering Nite Creamery would run you approx $20 for similar sizes). Flavors are unique and made fresh. Great place to stop in for a taco or two. Operated by a local padre, Padrecito, the food is good. Street tacos with lots of additions including salsas, lemon, radishes, & pickled onions. Also serving many flavors of ice cream. Yum! *If religious Catholic statues & decor offend you or make you uncomfortable, this might not be the place for you. Tees & rosaries available for sale. Clean establishment, quick & friendly service. Decor includes art contributed by local children. Some...read full review

So we bought some tamales down in orange county that were supposed to be terrific. Had them today and had way too much masa. So I bought some from Cafe Padre, all Carnitas. We tried a couple of those my husband and I and they were pretty good. Just the right amount of spice. I would've liked a little bit more meat, but they were sure better than the other ones.
