Porter-Bass Winery Reviews
Small town atmosphere with huge wealth of knowledge and personality. Well worth a visit not to mention the ride out is incredible. Thanks Sue for the making us Ohioians feel at home.
Sue is an absolute delight to talk to and learn from. The wines were fantastic, especially the Chardonnay and Zinfandel. The vineyard is such a peaceful place and offers a wonderful tasting experience. We left with multiple bottles!
Great hidden gem. Thankfully found the recommendation on reddit. Super chill and lovely wine!

Porter-Bass Winery offers a relaxed and intimate wine tasting experience away from the busy, flashy Napa scene. Visitors can enjoy tastings under a walnut tree, sampling a selection of four wines, including Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Zinfandel, and a red wine blend. The setting is simple and natural, creating a calming atmosphere perfect for slowing down and enjoying the moment. The winery is family-run, with over 50 years of experience, and the owner provides personal hospitality that makes guests feel welcome. Tasting sessions often include stories about the winery’s history and the land, adding a special touch. Guests can purchase bottles to waive the tasting fee and even try estate-grown olive oil with a kick. The winery is pet-friendly, and its low-key, charming vibe makes it a hidden gem for those looking for a quiet, authentic experience reminiscent of family wineries in Italy or France.
