“I stopped in for lunch and had a great experience. All the staff members I interacted with were very nice and my order had a quick turnaround time. Their chicken salad sandwich is awesome! The overall atmosphere was fun; plenty of drinks and snacks to choose from, lots of indoor and outdoor seating, and they even have a small shop filled with classic toys and candy.I can'r recommend this place enough. If you're ever in Guerneville, be sure to drop by.“
“We have never been to this area before and didn't know of any restaurants. Thank God my daughter found this restaurant on Google. This is a truly five star. The menu has unique ingredients so perfectly combined and designed. The taste of the 4 different dishes we got were truly unique. Ingredients were super fresh. We loved it. Service was very nice, no throwing the plates or silverware. They were placed in the right place. Thank you Boon for a truly nice experience. Was it cheap? No, but good food comes with a price that I am willing to pay. Congrats to the owner and chef Crista Luedtke“
“This little place is not your average brunch experience. The atmosphere is very quaint, and their menu is unique. The workers are very friendly. I had their Hash in Pan, and it was very tasty and filling.I know this is a little thing, but I appreciated that they have raw sugar and stevia options for the coffee, not just refined sugar and artificial sweeteners. To me, this is one "minor" thing that shows attention to detail. This restaurant was memorable.“
“Highly recommend boon eat + drink! We heard that if we come around 6-7pm on the weekend that there would be a long wait. We went about 10 minutes after opening on Sunday evening, and there were already 2 tables seated. The staff were so nice and attentive. There are two sections to the restaurant: indoors and a covered, heated patio area (they provide blankets). My only small complaint is that some of the tables are close together--I guess that really adds to the cozy vibe. The food was outstanding! In each dish, the different components of the dish balanced each other so well (sweetness + salty + tartness). That made the dishes feel less heavy. Appetizers: *BURRATA cranberry compote | pears | spiced walnuts | grilled bread 9/10 *CAULIFLOWER | sriracha vinaigrette | currant | sesame 8/10 (they ran out of brussel sprouts but the cauliflower was delicious) Mains: *seared DUCK BREAST | cauliflower puree | apricot marmalade | fried kale | pomegranate glaze 10000/10 *chili braised niman PORK shoulder | creamy polenta | fiesta slaw | ricotta salata + pepitas 7/10 They also had an assortment of alcohol to pair with your food :)“
“I was hosting a birthday weekend at the Russian River. Spent a day canoeing (love Burke's Canoes!) and had asked the R3 to set up tables for my group of about 30. It couldn't have been more perfect! They set up the chairs behind the bar and we just had a terrific, day-after-the-river happy hour. Ron the bartender was fantastic and thoughtful. I can't recommend the place highly enough. Thanks, guys, for a memorable 60th!Also, we had the appetizers catered from the adjacent restaurant, the Rio Bistro. Paul and Christina did a fantastic job. We picked 5 apps, they served them hot -- just terrific service. Just a perfect day.“
“AMAZING! I wish I would have remembered our waitresses name, she was fantastic and gave us wonderful service! The pot roast and mushroom raviolis were delicious! The grapefruit mule was sooo good!! We were so glad we found this place! I would 100% come back!!“
“Visiting from Massachusetts, found the staff to be polite, efficient and friendly. The coffee was great and I had the best breakfast burrito ever! People like to stay a bit and chat because they are not rushed out which is great but may mean waiting for a table. It’s worth the wait.“
“Wood fire pizzas are finger-licking good. The crust was excellent. I could not stop eating. Nice, newly renovated or newly opened location (I am not from the area so I’m not sure). We tried a couple of pizzas and the house salad and everything was delicious.“
“This place is a hidden gem! Everything we have tried has been delicious! The people who work there are so nice and lovely to talk to despite the place being super busy on the weekend. Every time we are around that area we stop at wild flour.“
“I spent a lovely afternoon listening to live music, enjoying their Zin Master zinfandel, and loving the friendly and comfortable vibe. It is truly a family business, and the great flavor of the wine reflects the care they take in everything they do. It is a small and very comfortable tasting room. Customer service is top notch. I enjoyed the pesto, provolone and prosciutto panini. We spent a lot of time last summer going to wineries that our visitors chose. I wish I knew about Spicy Vines then! I'll be back soon. (They also make brandy and serve great beer for those in your group who aren't into wine.)“
“A perfect cafe, if such a thing can exist. Warm, wonderful, artful space with cool art and a great outdoor space. A great Skatepark right next to the cafe surrounded by redwood trees. The owners are the sweetest couple, the food is SO GOOD. Try the Beach Laffa, you’ll be glad you did. This is the only place in a 50 mile radius that can make a perfect Oatmilk cappuccino.“
“Thank you so much Season !Big thanks for showing us the ropes at the winery. Your wine wisdom was as rich as the reds we tasted. We came for the Pinot Noir, but stayed for your stories.Cheers to you for making our day a barrel of laughs!Best“
“Not only was at the best, gluten-free scone I’ve ever had in my life, it was the best scone I have ever had in my life in general! Blueberries and orange icing on it was amazing, the workers there were so welcoming and lovely. My iced latte was delicious, and I totally went to this place on a whim, but I will definitely be going back! It was also exciting to see that on St. Patrick’s Day they had gluten free Irish soda bread, and it was also delicious! It is not celiac friendly; however, if you don’t mind Cross contamination and are just gluten intolerant I definitely recommend this place! Or if anything stop by for the coffee/tea!“
“The food was so delicious! We had the margarita pizza...beautiful presentation, the crust is thin and let the flavors from the mozzarella, tomatoes and basil be the stars of the meal. Get the peanut butter pie for dessert! Enough to share with you table mates. Service was great! Very friendly staff who knew their menu's flavors.“
“Took my partner for a nice date and came across this place by chance! The staff was so nice and knowledgeable, very attentive with tea times and descriptions! Had great vegan options. Can't wait to come back! This place is amazing! The matcha is perfect too, with nondairy options [coconut, oat] and for the boba as well.Beautiful place. We'll be back!Pros: Atmosphere, Service, FoodCons: Smaller food portion [could have used a bit more noodles for the price!]Vegetarian options: Great options for both vegans and veggies.“
“Portalupi offers a number of wines that diverge from most of what you'll find at the majority of wineries in northern Sonoma County. Starting with a Barbera-based sparkler (a little drier, please). After wading through a couple of decent dry whites (Arneis, Vermentino), and skipping some of the lighter reds, we moved on to some of the bolder offerings: Barbera, Sangiovese, Nebbiolo-- all winners. Dolinsek Pinot was a nice surprise; a departure from the rest of the (Italian) lineup. The host of our group of six was friendly, informative and engaging, with just the right balance between taking us through the flight and giving us space to socialize among ourselves and discuss the wines“
“We had a great time being back again. We loved having Rob for our wine tasting experience. He was super friendly and knowledgeable. We did the Napa tasting- soooo good. We got to try a few others as well. It was a really relaxing experience with incredible views. Rob was super accommodating to a pregnant member in our group. Very family friendly place!“
“We were looking to do something different today. On a whim our daughter suggested Breathless Wines as she has been here before with her friends. We are glad we came. Cherish was our server; she was wonderful. Being business owners ourselves, we know how important it is to have good people on your team. We also really liked the outdoor patio. The setting feels very comfortable and relaxing.“
“The space previously occupied by Flying Goat Coffee is now taken over by Black Oak. The food offering is better, with several gluten free options. The espresso oat drinks have good micro-foam. We had an enjoyable stop over after lunch at Little Saint.“
“A most memorable tasting experience always: exceptional wines, a superbly knowledgeable team, and beautiful tasting room. Joseph Jewell Winery consistently over delivers and exceeds expectations by offering superior customer service, ethereal wines ranging from Ritchie Vineyard Chardonnay to single vineyard Pinot Noirs that can age beautifully yet be delicious when young. Highest compliments to winemaker Adrian for his stellar hospitality, dedicated artistry, and resourcefulness in finding terrific grapes from a broad range of appellations. Grateful Cheers to Joseph Jewell Winery!“
“Foam on the short pull espresso was phenomenal paired alongside a Nutella croissant topped with toasted almonds and powder sugar on a Tuesday morning followed by a brief read of a book. Nothing like the patio where it all conjured a memorable experience. May this place remain a gem on the way to the Oceanside.“
“Came here with my girlfriend last week and it was by far the best wine tasting experience for both of us. Mark has a much more laid back environment for the tasting and he’s also the most welcoming, especially for wine novices like us. I will continue to buy Blanchard wines“
“Visiting from Boston and came to Sonoma for the day. We came to Bacchus landing. Montagne Russe is the best winery we’ve been to. Kevin Bersofsky is the wine maker and makes the best wine. If you like white, if you like red, come to this place. You’ll learn a lot, drink phenomenal wine, and leave in a better mood than you came in with. Love this place!!“
“A very cozy and relaxing stay for me and my husband. We came on a weekend where the river was exceedingly high and the weather was bad but we loved being able to stay warm in the hotel. German food dinner was incredible, the hosts were kind, great beer. A nice continental breakfast in the morning. Highly recommend!“
“Very nice wines. They are known for their Chardonnay and Pinot noirs. There is a $25, $35 and $45 tasting. With the $25 you get 4 tastes and the $45 you get 6 tastes. What a nice place to hang out and sip wine. The interior is deco modern and it's walking distance to some restaurants in the heart of the downtown area.“
“Long been a favorite Healdsburg restaurant of mine. This time around, ordered Duck Meatballs, Steamed Clams in Cava, Chicken Thighs and the Skirt Steak. This was good enough for 2 people. The dishes were excellent. There's outdoor seating in the back, but we dined inside.“
“Absolute must-go!!! The staff were very friendly, helpful and gave our group lots of information on the wines. We never felt unattended to. ALL of the wines were fabulous, and the pours were very generous. The inside of the tasting room was adorable, plus there was a dog there too! Bonus points for the brownie that came with the tasting. Would absolutely recommend to visit!“
“Loved a unplanned stop here have purchased Siduri at home in Oregon & noticed the Willamette Valley connection. Their 1000 mile Pinot Noir tasting is fantastic ~ start with their Oregon vineyards & end with their Santa Barbara vineyards. They also have a Pinot blend tasting. Thanks to Tonya, lots of knowledge, information & opinion ~ all added to a nice visit & excellent wine. For having only Pinot Noir, the differences in side by side tasting is fantastic.“
“We love this place. We have been to both locations (Santa Rosa the other one). Their ice cream is delish and good variety of flavors. They offer tasty treats as well. My only gripe, i wish they would change their cupcake GF option, it is always the same (been that way for years). My husband is a fan of their pies. This location gets busy during the warmer months so be prepared to wait in line if you come to the square during a hot day!“
“Wonderful cafe! The food is delicious and generous. The staff is welcoming and very helpful. The vibe is upscale but very chill.Don't miss this delight!Vegetarian options: The tempeh bacon is yummy on the BLATDietary restrictions: Gluten free bread and vegan options available“
“I was about to visit a different spirits place when our server at Matrix Winery said he liked and recommended Young & Yonder Spirits. I like recommendations from locals.I would pick 4 spirits for my tasting. The choices of absinthe and amaro intrigued me, but I wasn’t sure I wanted to taste them straight. I was lucky enough that there was just enough pour from the lime vodka so I chose lime vodka, gin, bourbon, and corn whiskey. The lime vodka was yummy and would be great for mixing drinks. I really liked the H.O.B.S. gin. It stands for Harbor of Broken Souls. Nice name, but with the juniper taste and ABV at 50%? This would be perfect for mixing since it’s a higher ABV. I was so curious how it would taste that I ordered an H.O.B.S. Gin and tonic for my wife. Yep, it tasted great. I’m a whiskey guy and I like bourbon. However, I actually preferred their corn whiskey. Perhaps because it’s 80% corn so it was extra sweet. The only complaint I had was that each pour was very little. It’s great that they use Glencairn glasses for tasting, but wish they had been more generous with their pours. As a home mixologist, I had a nice chat with the bartender about their gin, their local bitters. It’s the great conversation that takes the experience to another level. Buying a bottle would waive the tasting fee? Great. I got that H.O.B.S. gin that I really had my eyes (and taste buds) on! I would use 1 oz of their gin and another oz of Tanqueray to make a gin and tonic. Maybe next time I would come back and taste the absinthe.“
“If you're looking for a quieter, less well travelled winery, check out the Landmark Vineyards wine tasting room. It's a bit north of the wineries in Russian River/Santa Rosa, but the drive is quaint and the wines are fantastic. We found the tasting room to be laid back and relaxing -- we were the only ones present in the afternoon. There are several tables outside for enjoying the nice views outdoors. Landmark is owned by the Wonderful Company, who also own Justin Winery in Paso. They are known for their Pinot Noirs as well as Chardonnays. All are top notch wines. We purchased a Sonoma County Tasting Pass -- and Landmark Vineyards was on the list. explore.sonomacounty.com… I'd recommend purchasing this pass, as the cost of the pass is typically less than the cost to taste wine at nearly every Russian River winery!Definitely a nice spot for those who like Pinot Noir and Chardonnay varietals without the pretentiousness. Big thumbs up.“
“Best ribs and pulled pork in Northern California! We wish they would do brisket, but the meats are amazing! This is a style unlike any other bbq in the country. We drove 50 minutes for this bbq and we will do it every time we are craving ribs and pulled pork. The owner and his family are the nicest people you would ever meet and you will not be disappointed!Remember this bbq is his own style and delicious!“
