“What an amazing place. Customer service was off the charts as well as the wine that was selected and served. Every wine bottle has a message about equality (wink, wink) and the atmosphere is as good as the wine. Got to meet the owner Jim, and he is a great person with a great spirit to match. My wife and I had a great experience, and was able to her Jim's life story as well which was very powerful. Was only in town with our Frederick Wine Club for 5 days, but made it a point to visit twice during our stay. Thank you Jim for being so kind and having us at your establishment.“

Then he tells me..We are dining tonight at the restaurant boon eat + drink right here in our home! Giuseppe walked over to boon eat to pick up the most amazing salmon you will ever have, and I have a Spanish rice dish on the stove that way I can pretend to be the chef! The boon eat salmon will be here in 10 minutes. He was back as scheduled and we had an Amazing dinner...The Salmon was ...and for lack of a better word...Spectacular! ☆☆☆☆☆“

“They had 21 Pinot Noirs and one Chardonnay which was their first endeavor with that grape. They hit a home run with it. I was even able to get a chilled bottle, just what I was looking for on a hot day. The Pinots were all good, some very dry, some not so much but not jammy.“

Idlewild is definitely more of the laid back. The tasting room feels more like a casual place to get together.We had the pleasure of meeting Sam, who was our server. Every wine was wonderful and he provided a full commentary of each wine, free of the pretentiousness that sometimes comes as a side dish at stuffier wineries.I have been to Italy and drank Italian wines. Idlewild could compete with the best of them. I highly recommend stopping in.“

“This spot is a must visit when you find yourself in Sonoma County. A beautiful tasting room from one of my fav West County wineries. Winemaker Ross Cobb is renown as a master of Pinot noirs but the little secret is that he makes amazing blanc de noir sparkling as well as Chardonnay that this committed red wine drinker can't get enough of. And his rose of Pinot noir is why our motto is #roseallday. Furthermore also has live music at both their Healdsburg location (just a 1/2 block from the Plaza) and their gorgeous winery on 116 near Graton.“

“Amazing stay! Gorgeous home. The host was so welcoming and friendly! she left us wine and an amazing basket of fruit upon arrival. We made pizzas outside in the pizza oven. Plenty of games and activities for kids with a room upstairs for movies and video games. Garage had a ping pong table and other sports of games. Everything was top notch! The bedding was very comfortable and everything was extremely clean. I cannot say enough good things. Perfect for a family reunion or wedding. We drove to Dillons beach 2 days but there are plenty nearby activities, restaurants, wineries.“
