“We love this spot in Valley Ford. Really good food and really nice folks taking care of you. It gets crowded here but worth any inconvenience it might cause. I've always been able to get a table with a group or a couple of spots at the bar without a lot of wait times. Oysters are great here of course but lots of other things that I have found all to be very tasty. Usual Sonoma county prices. We always go back.“
“Omg! We just had the best dinner date ever! So refreshing! The place is welcoming, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the wine is delicious and the menu is mindfully crafted! For the vegetarians and vegans out there, get ready to be blown away by fresh ingredientes and delicious recipes! The French lentil soup was the best soup I've ever had in my life! The lasagna bolognese omg!! The baguette! Don't even think twice! The whole ordering ahead was really cool too! Just come to n in and have an experience for yourself! Just wow!“
“This place is a hidden gem! Everything we have tried has been delicious! The people who work there are so nice and lovely to talk to despite the place being super busy on the weekend. Every time we are around that area we stop at wild flour.“
“I had the Herbal Mocha (brewed with roasted roots with reishi and maca added) and it was delightful. It was a rich and earthy bouquet without being bitter like some similar drinks can be. My barista (who I think was Emilou!) was very kind, and gave me some guidance on where in town I should check it because I haven't been in Sebastopol since 2007 and it's changed a LOT since then. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying their tea selection.Dietary restrictions: Good variety of milk alternatives“
“A perfect cafe, if such a thing can exist. Warm, wonderful, artful space with cool art and a great outdoor space. A great Skatepark right next to the cafe surrounded by redwood trees. The owners are the sweetest couple, the food is SO GOOD. Try the Beach Laffa, you’ll be glad you did. This is the only place in a 50 mile radius that can make a perfect Oatmilk cappuccino.“
“Gulten free goodies, I a picky gf eater...I had to give a review for this place. It's AWESOME!! I have tasted other bakerys and won't give a review..this one earned a review. Thank you for making tasty goodies for those of us that miss out.“
“One of my favorite stops for a latte! I've been loving their seasonal tiramisu latte, so fun and aesthetic! Their food is also good, of course, cafe coffee and breakfast items are not cheap, I mean you can't even go to McDonald's without flinching at the cost, so be prepared for this to not be your basic cup of black coffee and croissant. I haven't ordered something at Retrograde that I haven't liked, bummer is, the place has become so popular over the years that a wait is almost always required when stopping in, with very minimal seating available.“
“So good! I knew how good their drinks were and have heard great things about the food so we have been dying to try it. My husband and I came in on a Saturday night and had our 2 year old with us... I let the host know my 2 year old was with us and that I was unsure if it was appropriate and he made us feel SO welcome. Overall the service was amazing, the drinks are exceptional, and the food is as good as we had heard. The smash burger is a must! :)“
“The food was so delicious! We had the margarita pizza...beautiful presentation, the crust is thin and let the flavors from the mozzarella, tomatoes and basil be the stars of the meal. Get the peanut butter pie for dessert! Enough to share with you table mates. Service was great! Very friendly staff who knew their menu's flavors.“
“Love the vibe here. This is my first time back in Sebastopol in 17 years, and the hodgepodge art vibe reminds me of old Sebastopol much more than downtown. Good to see the humble old spirit of the city still lives in a few places around town. They have a wide and eclectic variety of teas (including loose leaf). They also have display cases of various raw crystals (not the polished ones like in most stores downtown), all of which are for sale. My soy latte was great too“
“Going here is always a treatI always get their seasonal salad because they serve the seasonal veggies. The meatballs are so moist and yummy. The pastries always GOOD we got the hot cocoa croissant and ate it for breakfast the next day. So good warmed up and toasted“
“This place is a real gem. Wonderful teas and the cacao is extraordinary - especially the Euphoria. Just wonderful. The staff are really friendly, respectful and knowledgable. However, it is severely let down by only ONE very important thing for me... the fact that they serve swine meat. For an establishment with such an obvious wellness / spiritual underpinning, I was really shocked to see it on the menu. The most spiritually corrupting of all foods. Whether you are Jewish, Muslim or a shaman in the Amazon, pig meat is always strictly OFF the menu. And why is that?Pigs are the only animals whose organs can be transplanted into humans successfully. Their eyes are so much like ours, it's uncanny. According to cannibal tribes, humans taste like "sweet pork".That's all I'm going to say. Please guys, get swine off the menu!“
“Delightful seafood specials with large giant cooked crabs, sweet potato fries, fresh fried fish and chips, calamari, smoked salmon, absolutely out of this world taste. My daughter loves the dishes, especially grilled cheese sandwiches. Family favorite.“
“Stopped by for lunch and enjoyed the clam chowder, fish stew (better of the two), and delicious crab sandwiches. The sandwiches were the highlight with lots of crab served on quality buns with a hint of dill from the sauce. Parking is limited and the line can get long, but the food and the staff are excellent!“
“Amazing experience! Our waiter was super kind and attentive to us. We got the rock cod, wok seared cabbage, and pad thai. They even gave us pandan soft serve on the house as we were celebrating a birthday! Will definitely be back in the future ☺️“
“Such a wonderful little spot in an understated strip mall in Sebastopol. Owned by a local family, the service is so attentive and welcoming! The menu is extensive, including all the classics for breakfast and lunch plus some unusual offerings like cabbage borscht, gumbo, and a delicious homemade mushroom gravy served on biscuits or as a side which I almost always order- it's great on poached eggs, the potatoes served with eggs, or even just to dunk toast into . Always a great experience, I will return to hole in the wall over and over.“
“Region was the highlight of our day. Tons of options to choose from, they had a winemaker doing pours of their new selection , and the staff is top notch.Best of all you can get food delivered from the local restaurants. We loved the vibe here, and it used to be a dog friendly place.Definitely come with friends to hangout, or just read a book. It’s a fantastic wine and food experience.“
“Foam on the short pull espresso was phenomenal paired alongside a Nutella croissant topped with toasted almonds and powder sugar on a Tuesday morning followed by a brief read of a book. Nothing like the patio where it all conjured a memorable experience. May this place remain a gem on the way to the Oceanside.“
“We had a delicious tasting with Pam yesterday. We have been Lynmar members for years and each time we visit we fall more and more in love with it. The Chardonnays, Pinots, and overall experience is second to none. We can't wait to go back again soon.“
“I stopped by for lunch on a sunny day and this was a home run. The Hitchcock wink just gilds this very pleasant spot. The Birds sits right off the water with multiple levels of scenic, outdoor seating wrapped around the little kitchen where you order and pick up. Pass the single stall bathroom, and you'll find an adjacent building set up as a coffee shop. The menu is simple, but effective. Fish Tacos: Loved them. The fish has a light, crisp batter. They're served with shredded cabbage, fresh pico de gallo, and an avocado sauce on top. Two hearty tacos to an order and so good. Artichoke Fritters: I know this is county fair food, but I loved these. I thought they might be heavy, but they were actually pretty crunchy, frilly, and delicate. They're good with the ranch on the side and a little hot sauce. The portion is honestly giant which is fun. I took my leftovers home and enjoyed them again that night!“
“We drive from Auburn to have clam chowder and a crab sandwich. It is always worth the time. It is consistently delicious.Kid-friendliness: Family friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: We are almost always able to park in their handicap parking in front.“
“You have to go here if you visit Bodege Bay. We are obsessed with this place. Some of the biggest ice cream scoops I have ever had. Captain Davey himself works behind the counter and he does not fool around. He was giving it his all scooping ice cream for me and making amazing coffee with his very nice-looking espresso machine. If I lived here I would come once a week. This is a small place and its only one man so if you can go in the middle of the day you will avoid a line. There is not a lot of seating. The hot dog place next door let us use their bathroom.“
“SO GOOD!! Definetly some of the best ice cream I've had. They have such a big variety of flavors, and they're always changing too, so there's always something new. Such a good texture, and they staff are always friendly and helpful. The shop always feels so nice and fun! The whole vibe there is just the best.“
“The food was beyond delicious! I have had bad ceviche so I was worried it wouldn't taste great but it was heavenly. It had the right amount of spicy, tenderness, and juice. The tostada was to die for, the thick mole sauce on top made it 10x better. The service was quick and easy. Was able to sit outside because of warm weather and it was beautiful. You are surrounded by nature and it was calm, almost made me want to stay after my meal was done. I will say they are a bit pricey, everything costed nearly $60 and although it is not pictured, their horchata is a must. If you are in the area definitely check them out! I will come back here again.“
“5:30 am & I wondered where I could get a good latte so early in the morning : Grateful Bagel is where :) …. A very good latte, a cheerful smile and the place full of *a variety of warm, *freshly-made* croissants & bagels. Delicious!“
“A year after an injury left me barely able to walk for many months, I joined the 21-day program feeling like an absolute beginner. Two 21-day camps later, I joined as a member. I felt so supported and encouraged every step of the way! For example, today, Jen told me I looked like a street fighter, which is exactly what I'm going for as a mother of five in my forties. I can't thank Jen and Lori enough for the strength and healing I feel every morning before the sun is even up. Beautiful facility. Passionate, kind, and knowledgeable trainers. Inclusive, joyful, and grounded culture all around. Thank you“
“This taco truck is the best. I live in the south bay, but I am in Sebastapol once a month. Each time I am I in Sebastopol, I must stop at this truck. My son & his friends stop by once a week. My regular order is the Taquitos with Rice & Beans or a Single Fish Taco with Rice & Beans. I get a roasted jalapeño with mine too. My son gets 4 steak tacos.“
“Oh my..... where do I start? This place was OUT OF THIS WORLD!! A truly amazing gastronomic experience! Everything and I mean EVERYTHING was WAY better than I expected and I expected it all to be delicious! My mom, who came with me, said that this place is what most places strive for but will never achieve. We are absolutely blown away! I wish I lived closer as I would frequent this place regularly! When I was there I ran into a lady that said she came from LA once a month for this place and I can see why! I was on a road trip from Seattle to Simi Valley and was told by my sister to stop here. I'm beyond glad I did as I had an experience I will never forget! I even brought home one of the amazing peanut butter rice krispie treats for my friend to try and they also said it was absolutely delicious and better than expected! Very cute tea house ambiance and exceptional service. The owner was extremely personable, kind and welcoming. Totally and completely worth every penny! Take my money!! Do yourself a favor and stop here vegan or not!“
“Stopped by this adorable little spot for a smoothie and cookies. When I walked in, the smell made my mouth water. They also have soup and lite lunch fare. I got a chocolate chip walnut and a lavender honey cookie. Delicious. I met the owner and she was the sweetest. Her helper too. I can't wait to go back. Bringing some home to San Diego with me.“
“If you have not visited the Golden State cider tap room, you are missing out! They pour 12+ different ciders every day, including several fun small batch costs that you will never see in stores. The vibe is super friendly and their staff are all great.“
“We brought our dog and sat outside on the pier. We had great service amazing raw oysters chowder and homemade soft buttery bread, so good! It was quite a drive but the scenery along the way was pretty and we enjoyed the drive. They have an inn across the street, perhaps we'll stay next time.“
“Celiac Safe! This restaurant is delicious. The service is excellent, food amazing, the drinks epic. I have celiac disease which requires strict gluten free preparation of my meal. Ramen Gaijin is totally on top of their gluten free protocols that this place is an excellent choice for anyone with a gluten allergy. Also our waiter was so knowledgeable on gluten free eating, he made us feel so comfortable ordering. I had the best Old Fashion I've ever had. They use an in house made "spiced sugar" that took the bitterness away and the drink was delicious. The restaurant has outdoor seating, so bring your dog. I truly appreciate when a restaurant takes my gluten allergy seriously and provides me delicious food in a safe environment.“
“This is another family run 1950's style burger joint with a twist, in that they use Ninman Ranch beef. The same beef used in many higher end restaurants. I'm not sure if it's really that much better, other than it's certified humane, and used by chipotle grill. My order was a double cheeseburger with mushrooms, a order of onion rings, with a Mexican Mandarin orange soda. The burger was good at about 8oz, but not exceptional. The onion rings were very good, but not very many in the order. What can be said about a Mexican orange soda? Other than all Mexican sodas are pretty good. But the price point at $32 is bit high. So at $35 with a small tip, you have to not be just good, but exceptional. Don't get me wrong I like the place, and I like the family that runs it. The parents run it in the morning, and the kids have the afternoon and evenings. So if there is a big reason for me to return, it would be to support a small family run business.“
“This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in the US! you MUST come here. It mig. This is a very cute, little restaurant off the side of the road, it might look unassuming, but it is some of the BEST Mexican food you will eat. Parking There's a little parking lot right infront of the restaurant. There aren't a lot of parking spaces but there's always at least one available! Ambiance The restaurant is so cute! It is small and has tons of cool art on the walls. The restaurant has a very nice calm and causal vibe, which is so so nice. Service The service is 10000/10 amazing! The owner is the sweetest most warm, genuine woman you will ever meet. She is so kind and generous and makes you feel so welcome as soon as you walk in the door! She is attentive and provides extremely fast service and even better conversation! You can tell she works hard and genuinely cares about serving amazing food and connecting with people. Her Mexican food is unbelievable, and she also cooks Persian food from time to time! The other staff are amazing as well, I have never had a bad experience here - everyone is extremely nice and friendly and you will get your food immediately because their service is super fast! Food The food is AMAZING. It is some of, if not the best Mexican food I've had in the US. I usually get the Carnitas Super and the Carnitas Tropical Burritos. The carnitas in the burrito are PERFECT and the best I've ever tasted - it is so charred, salty, savory and just the best texture and flavor you will ever have. The refried beans and rice are sooooo soft and fluffy and savory. The white beans in the tropical burrito are soft and chewy and add the best flavor combo with the chipotle apple salsa and corn. The Carnitas Tropical is a must try burrito! The chipotle apple salsa provides the most amazing sweet flavor that balances the salty carnitas so perfectly. They also serve complimentary salsa and chips with every order - the habanero salsa is spicy and SOOOO good that I always order a pint of it to go. They offer the most unique Mexican food that I guarantee you have never tried and they have tons of Vegan and Vegetarian options that are equally as good! Their desserts are also to DIE for...the flourless, vegan chocolate lava cake is insane. You must get this. It is so chocolaty and decadent and you can't tell it is vegan. The cheesecake, cakes and flans also look amazing, but I have yet to try. Overall This is a must try restaurant and one of my favorite of all time. The location, service, ambiance, and most of all the food, are all amazing and make the perfect experience. I will always love Viva Mexicana, and I'm sure you will too!“
“Good selection of beers and some non-alc options like root beer and lemonade. Almost empty on a weeknight. BIG space, great for parties and large groups. Bathrooms, and both indoor/outdoor spaces. Have some outdoor games like corn hole and giant connect 4. Really nice that they let you bring food from elsewhere to eat with your drink there. They sell cool merch as well. Staff was really nice.“
“This was a surprise! I didn't even know this is what I wanted to eat...lol. We grabbed a pesto and basil pizza to start and it was the perfect amount of cheese and flavors...paired with wine and pliney, we continued on with the cauliflower that was out of this world and the decadent paella! Wow! We'll be back. Service was great too...didn't hurt we had a front row seat to the bay...but the pizza is the one and only pic I took! That says a lot.“
“Their burritos are delicious and pretty hefty, which I appreciate. We took the food away, but the restaurant is best described as a beach shack and I mean that in a good way. They have outdoor seating as well. They have a little salsa stand so you can take as much as you want.“
“Lovely, gorgeous, as comforting as a library for readers, as fun as an elementary school for families, delicious poppy seed with lemon cakes, large coffees, we enjoyed the games, piano, Christmas tree with gifts to donate. Fantastic place to bring your family and friends.“
“We enjoyed wine tasting here on the patio. We did not have reservations, but they graciously found a spot for us anyway. They really are a friendly bunch! We bought two bottles of wine. They really focus on Pinos, but I usually prefer Cabernet. Despite that, we'll definitely be back to enjoy a nice glass of wine on the patio. If only we lived closer...“
“Our group had an excellent experience at Marimar this spring! The wine was exquisite, and the food pairing was delightful! We would recommend this experience over many others in the area. Lead by two women, Marimar and Christina, this vineyard is truly inspiring!“
“Stunningly cute spot in Sebastopol, as a chef I’m always excited to find a small hidden gem and this was the gem I’ve been looking for in Sonoma county for a long time now. Do not expect the fast chaos of most Sonoma county restaurants. This place is small, quite and the experience you want when you think of amazing food in Californias foodie heaven.“
“Gem of Bodega bay!! This restaurant was very delicious. Everything we ordered was delicious including the torta, tacos and burrito. The family that owned the restaurant were all very kind and did a great job answering all our questions since it was our first time. The location is great, the restaurant is decorated very cute. They had great music playing and the kiddos were able to be kids and enjoy themselves.“
“The food here is amazing. Also the smoothies as well. Yes it's not cheap. But you are paying for quality not quantity. Customer service is very good. The location is good. Atmosphere is very nice. The two times I have gone here I have sat outside. First time was during Covid and the second time was last Saturday.“
“Crooked Goat is my favorite beer bar in the Barlow. They always have a tasty variety of beers on tap. Also 100% dog-friendly so fine to bring your pooch. Often, there can be a pretty energetic social scene here with young peole having fun, watching sports, playing games, or live music. What is my favorite beer? GRAIN & BLOOD -- BLOOD ORANGE DIPA -- 9.7% ABV DIPA brewed with fresh blood orange and dry hopped with Mosaic, Amarillo, Citra and Simcoe. It is a winner.“
“KoreaFood is absolutely delicious. Had a margarita pizza with yummy mozzarella and a pepperoni pizza done right. Service is great and to top it off, our hostess/waitress made a carrot cake from her grandma's recipe that was out of this world. Casual and simple evening out with my husband.“
“This is my absolute favorite pho joint anywhere in California. If I'm sick I will order 2 tubs of just the broth. They never give me a hard time when I make that order. Everything else is delicious as well. I love their imperial rolls. It's an easy, tidy, yummy authentic casual week night dinner Vietnamese food. I've also met friends there for lunch and the outside seating a lovely.“
“My favorite spot in the area - exceptional food! The crab sandwich is a must, as is the chowder. This is my #1 of 5 chowders I have tried in the area. The crab is prepared with light mayonnaise and lemon juice so the crab is the highlight. The toasted bread with the melted havarti make this sandwich a standout! Very friendly staff and nice rustic location on the water. The crab traps in the parking lot next door give a fishing village vibe. I look forward to returning.Visited after a high 50s morning at Doran Beach - AWESOME DAY!“
“What a lovely tasting experience! Each of offerings in the tasting was delicious - I left with two bottles of rose! More importantly, it was a restorative and relaxing experience. I came out to Sebastopol for some solo time away from the craziness kids and work life. Connie was such a warm and welcoming presence as she came by with her each new pour. I had the patio to myself as I enjoyed the view and enjoyed my wine over a book. Couldn't have asked for a more wonderful experience!“
“We were looking for a classic breakfast, and this place had it all! I had eggs, bacon, and hasbrowns. My eggs were cooked perfectly, and so was everything else. My husband had the French toast, and that was delicious as well. Friend and speedy service!“
“Really nice people working here. We were so happy to find something that had outdoor seating and was dog friendly during a weekend where rain was heavy and often. Parking is limited and lotsa tourists around. Park at the cute country store and buy a soda and then go over to Estero. Great menu, lots of little creative dishes and the service was so nice and friendly and sweet. Well run, deliciously satisfying food, cooked well, and lots of crab based specials that looked awesome. On a quiet part of Highway 1, go here and be impressed and well taken care of. Thanks for the delicious coffee and food!“
