Foo-Foo Tei Reviews
I've been a long time fan of foo foo tei and my mom and I were shocked when we showed up to see the parking lot and restaurant half empty. The staff was completely different and that's when we put two and two together that there probably was a change in ownership like all the other reviews mention. The food was honestly still very good and service was not bad. But the second time we went since the change in ownership, it was on a Wednesday afternoon when they are supposed to be...read full review
We have been here multiple times. It’s one of my favorite places to eat. However the past two times I’ve been here, we have not been able to eat there with my family. The 2nd to last time we have been here, the restaurant should still be opened for be more hour but they wouldn’t let us in citing that the owner wants to close early. Foo-Foo Tei is a hidden gem in an industrial area with a small parking lot. It is a wonderful establishment to enjoy genuine Japanese ramen and a diverse selection of accompanying dishes. Despite the wait, the service is fast and the staff is exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The nanchatte tonkatsu ramen is creamy and flavorful, perfect for a cold day, while the deep-fried soft shell crab, broiled squid, and omelet rice with pork cutlet and curry sauce are delicious and generous in portion size. The extensive menu offers a wide variety of comforting Japanese dishes to try, making it one of the top picks in the area for ramen. The tastes are rich, and pricing is average. If looking for a cozy spot to satisfy cravings, Foo-Foo Tei is the place to visit, but it is pretty packed at most times, so having extra time for a little wait is a good idea.
