“I was in Hanford for a doctor visit, so afterwards I hit up this McD's. I went through the drive thru, so that is what I'm reviewing. They were courteous, got my order correct, and were prompt. Plus my food was hot. I don't really have anything negative to say about this location. Thank you to this McD's for being very polite, and great at your jobs!“

“SHORT VERSION:
It's McDonald's. You're going to get roughly the same food and service everywhere. This particular breakfast was mostly good.
LONG VERSION:
To put this review on equal footing with my other breakfast reviews, I chose to dine in. I'm more a mobile-order-drive-thru guy, and this experience reminded me why.
While I could have waited to order from the single cashier (who seemed to be very busy with other kitchen tasks the entire time I was in the restaurant), it is clear that ordering is to be done at one of the large self-serve kiosks. Not a big deal for me - it works just like the phone app. The screens are bigger, but also placed about a foot and a half low for me (but I'm a half-giant, so most everything is set too low for me). At the end of the transaction I was instructed to take a plastic table card and my receipt and my food would be brought to me. No receipt printed, but I'd typed in the four digit code that connected the order to my phone app account, which beeped to confirm my order. So far, mostly good.
Plenty of tables with normal chairs at this location. Also, some of those tall coffee shop tables with stools, and a few fixed booths. I chose a table (as I do) but had some difficulty finding one that was even partly clean. They weren't sticky, but they were mostly all covered in a layer of crumbs from previous diners. I needed to wipe off a section with a napkin. Also, there were a shocking number of flies. I found a table that was relatively clear, at first, but by the time my food arrived, there were a dozen of the buzzing menaces, and I had to move.
My food was NOT delivered to the table, BTW. Instead a counter person yelled my number out and I got to go get it. Some other diners had theirs delivered and others had theirs called out, so I'm not sure what made the difference.
It was not a long wait. Maybe four minutes from ordering to hearing my number bellowed out.
A worker kept popping out with a mop, but never managed to use it before getting called back into the kitchen. This may explain the crumbs and the flies (so many flies!).
Enough about the atmosphere! Let me talk about the food.
It was good.
I try to order similar things for reviews to keep the playing field level. Here, that meant a Big Breakfast with Hotcakes. Not so long ago, it was possible to order this and swap in bacon for the sausage, but not anymore. But that's a mild disappointment. Everything else was fine. The food was hot. It looked appealing (once I took the clamshell cover off and unstacked it a bit). And it all tasted the way it should. Having eaten at a number of fancier restaurants lately, places where there are highly trained and experienced chefs making my scrambled eggs and pancakes, i was pleasantly surprised to find that McDonald's exceeded the taste profiles of half of the places I've been. The scrambled eggs were a bit flat, but good. The pancakes were smaller, but they were fluffy and had some flavor. And the hash brown might be a greasy disk of potato, but it was a wonderful and tasty greasy disk!
I did have to limp back up to the counter and wait a few minutes to ask for a ketchup packet and I wish there had been a second jelly packet in the little bag of plasticware that came with the meal. I probably could have asked for another, but didn't want to wait at the counter a second time.
And once the food was all in order, I are it and enjoyed it. Until the constant assault by flies drove me out of the restaurant. I did stop to refill my Diet Coke before I left.
All for $10, I might add. Quality-wise, this was twice the breakfast I received at the last couple of diners I've been to, for less than half the price.
BOTTOM LINE:
Totally worth it to stop here for breakfast! But use“
