Portalupi offers a number of wines that diverge from most of what you'll find at the majority of wineries in northern Sonoma County. Starting with a Barbera-based sparkler (a little drier, please). After wading through a couple of decent dry whites (Arneis, Vermentino), and skipping some of the lighter reds, we moved on to some of the bolder offerings: Barbera, Sangiovese, Nebbiolo-- all winners. Marcia, Marcia, Marcia…not at Portalupi…it’s Jan, Jan, Jan.If you haven’t visited, what are you waiting for. We had the best service from the whole team but Jan especially took great care of us. We had a charcuterie board (voted one of the best in Sonoma county), three cans of their incredible caviar, strawberry spritzes and of course their amazing wine.Portalupi is seriously the only place that we’re always treated like family. Different twist on Sonoma wines. They serve Italian wines that are grown in Northern California. Great service and selection. Also very reasonably priced compared to many other winerys in Healdsburg. Great place!
