The chicken was definitely crunchy (the batter was good!) and delicious. The fries and biscuits were really good, too. Everything was hot and fresh out of the oven. My family loved it.

“Hidden gem type of spot that reminds you why local food joints still matter. What started as a stop for a chicken burger quickly turned into one of the more memorable comfort food experiences I’ve had in Hollywood.

The balance between a classic burger spot and a full Korean kitchen is executed incredibly well. You can tell this isn’t a place trying to force two concepts together. Everything on the menu feels intentional and well thought out. The chicken was perfectly cooked with great texture and flavor, while the Korean dishes carried that authentic homemade quality that’s hard to fake.

The atmosphere has that hometown neighborhood feel where the staff genuinely make you feel welcomed the second you walk in. Service was attentive without being overbearing, and everyone behind the counter seemed to actually care about the experience they were providing.

Another standout was the drink selection. Plenty of beers on tap along with a solid variety of drinks that pair perfectly with the food whether you’re stopping in casually or hanging out for a while.

What impressed me most was the consistency across the board. A lot of places do one thing well and everything else feels secondary. Here, the food, service, atmosphere, and menu variety all carried equal weight.

“Overall, the food is clean, not overly salty or heavy, which makes it perfect for both adults and kids. One thing that really stood out was the open kitchen, where the Japanese owner-chef cooks everything himself—it definitely adds to the trust and experience.
We ordered chicken teriyaki, chicken katsu, beef fried rice, cold udon, and a beef bowl. The beef bowl was especially impressive—generous portions of tender meat and fresh, vibrant vegetables made it both satisfying and well-balanced. It was also very kid-friendly, which I really appreciated.
The chicken teriyaki and chicken katsu were both excellent, and the beef fried rice was flavorful and hearty—my child loved it. And especially my favorite, the cold udon, tasted even better than what I’ve had in Japan. It’s one of those dishes that you start craving again the very next day.
In my opinion, the Japanese owner-chef has an exceptional ability to transform simple, everyday dishes into high-quality meals that feel like something you’d get at a fine dining restaurant in Japan.
Another thing I loved was that the food didn’t leave me feeling thirsty afterward, which usually tells me the seasoning is well-balanced and thoughtfully prepared. If you prefer stronger flavors, you can always ask for extra sauce or seasoning on the side.
The portions were generous enough that we took leftovers home, and even the next day, everything still tasted great after reheating.
It might be a little hard to find at first since it’s tucked away, but it’s absolutely worth it. Parking was easy when we visited for a Friday lunch, which is always a plus when dining with a little one.

Rendered dry sky and moist well cooked inside. The soy garlic and spicy Korean were delicious. Not too sweet or artificial tasting. The side is what i would describe as a “deep fried side chex mix” it was onion ring, fries and hand cut potato chips. This was a delight and solid market differentiator. I got 8 wing halves total and the website describes the order as 1lb ranging between 6-8 wings. For the price, i liked getting the full 8 wings. Will be a regular.“

I've never in my 15 years coming to this place had much issues at all. There's parking in the back don't take the main street even if the Google maps or Apple maps tells you to. There's literally never parking on the main Street. This is my favorite #1 restaurant. Also shout out to the owner for bringing back the the decor of the mobster posters and the old newspapers, I was really sad a couple years ago when the decor was taken away during the rebranding but I'm happy to see that Alondras/Awesom Wings are coming back to their roots. 10/10.“

“This place tastes delicious, they're always consistent. They can be a little pricier if you plan getting a whole pie, around $28 which is a bit steep especially for one topping. I feel getting two toppings would be more justifiable for $28 but that's just me. The staff are friendly, brought our food to us. Yall should add Dr pepper to your roster of sodas.
