I loved the incredibly flavorful green sauce on my cheese tamales at La Villa de Jerez! My husband and I are always looking for traditional Mexican food when we travel and we found it in Hollister, CA. They also provided friendly service and generous portions. The location is in an older building with tin ceiling tiles and an antique bar on one side. Very casual atmosphere and excellent food!

Based on the reviews, La Villa de Jerez Restaurant | Mexican is a personal favorite in Hollister. It offers giant burritos for super cheap, with great service and a homey atmosphere. The homemade tortilla chips and salsa are bombbiggity, and the burritos are delicious. The freshly-made scrumptious menudo is the best ever, perfect as a hangover cure, with enough for a couple of meals. The chile rellenos and tamales are also great. Prices and portions are quite reasonable, making it a sit-down place almost as cheap as fast food. The restaurant has easy front door access, abundant handicapped seating, and a big restroom.
