“Last Sunday, March 31st, after church we had lunch at The Sizzler in Stockton, Ca., and I ordered the half rack of ribs with fries. Today, April 07th, after church we had lunch at Applebee's in Stockton, Ca, and I ordered the half rack of ribs with fries. Although at Applebee's, the price was $5.00 less, the Sizzler ribs were a lot better. Sizzler ribs were more tender and juicy. At Sizzler, I was able to separate each rib and remove the meat off the bone with just the fork only. At Applebee's, I had to use my fork and knife to separate each rib and hold each rib with both hands and bite the meat off the bone. I won't order ribs at Applebee's anymore. Sizzler is my suggestion if you want ribs.“

“Came in on a Wed where it was half off pizza and $4 beers. Grilled cheese was amazing and pizza was excellent, only complaint of the evening I ordered none spicy pepperoni and still got spicy and it took 20 minutes. There was some local at exhibit on this day and they have local live bands. We would definitely eat here again. Bonus, it is a block from Bob Hope Theater.“
“How hard is it to make decent food and decent drinks in your own niche market? Well these guys make it look effortless. The staff is very friendly and efficient. The owner knows what being in the service industry means and treats everyone with respect. We’ve been here a few times. They have a small menu of their signature dishes and they do not miss. We’ve tried their burgers, chicken sandwich, tacos and most of their appetizers and they are above great! Drinks are well crafted. The inside looks small but they do have additional seating in the back and outside. Staff is attentive to all areas. Restaurant owners in this town should come and observe how it’s done. “The first visit was during a late lunch hour, which was not busy at all. The vibe was lovely. Lovely decor with basic table setup. Bar area is lovely. Service was friendly and welcoming but slow even though business was slow. Timing with sitting, ordering, and receiving food was about 1 hour and change for 2 people. Nearby parking garage available if you can't find street parking. Area is shaky, so do not leave valuables in your vehicle. Not even drinks in your cup holders. Indoor and outdoor seating. Ours got flustered, mixed up plates, got orders/sides/and cooking preferences wrong (rare,medium rare, well done), took plates from people at our table after biting it/eating it and switching plates no warning, not to mention, we asked for a a few high chairs when we first showed up, and I had repeatedly asked for them for over 25 minutes until I finally got a bit snappy and asked what was going on and where our chairs were, THEN the hostess did something.“

“The AVE owner was so kind. My partner had a family member taken to the local hospital, and I was left with our dog, and two friends because of hospital policy. So I took the dog and friends downtown. We were looking for a place to sit down, snack, and wait till my partner was ready to leave the hospital.The owner let us bring our dog inside, and gave us a nice table and couch to sit on. We let our German Shorthair Pointer sleep on the couch, and the owner was so kind.We are so thankful for the hospitality and kindness that were shown. “I had a good experience here. I rate it 3.8in a half stars however it does not have that option so I round up to 4 stars. My husband and I wanted to eat somewhere near the water and after searching Yelp we found this place. I really wanted oysters so it was perfect. When we arrived, it was pretty empty so we was seated right away outside near the water. Our waitress Monica was very kind and attentive. She had amazing customer service. We ordered the shrimp appetizer which was yummy, the peanut sauce was a pleasant surprise, I really enjoyed the spice. We ordered the watermelon margarita and they were delicious 10/10 I would of had three if we didn't have our son and have to pick up my daughter right after. Food: I ordered the chicken salad and oysters my Salad was good , the lettuce was grilled and the chicken was seasoned well, I gave it a 7.5 because I like when my salad is cold and my chicken is warm. The warm lettuce from being grilled threw me off a bit. The oysters was very tasty I gave them a 8/10 I wish they were bigger and less mushy but they were still good I will order again! My husband ordered the burger and he said it was a 6/10 but also loved his margarita! We ordered a kids pizza for my daughter and she really enjoyed! We will definitely be back!“
