“We stopped at The Golden Pig for a late lunch on our way back from northern CA to the central coast. We loved everything. The beer and cocktails were very good. I had the best nachos I’ve ever eaten served in a hot cast iron skillet, and liked that I could add Rancho Gordo white beans and the cheese was very melted & soft with great flavor. Service was great.“

“Road tripping the hwy 101 and so anxious to find an In&Out burger. So hungry we just couldn't wait. We found this place and the fries are way better than I&O.
Let me tell you bout that double cheese burger folks! This baby was way different than any kind of fast food joint. This burger was like my momma made it! That beef patty was not from a box. That baby was slapped around on both sides and made fresh. That red union, mayo, and cheese on that big old sesame seed bun....people, if this burger was a person, I would have done fell in love.
Skip the bathroom! There was no key, and we all know people are gross, well those bathrooms could tell some stories I am certain of that.
My guy at the front counter wasn't overly friendly either, but I guess you really don't need to be if your slinging food that is this good.
Fyi, twice the price of I&O.
Vegetarian options: Ummmmm, fries are good. :-)
Dietary restrictions: If you are on a diet, skip this place. They do have more options than a typical fast food joint.
Kid-friendliness: Kid's food is on the menu and my kid loved the hotdog
Wheelchair accessibility: Yes“

“My wife and I were driving down CA 101 near Hopland last weekend and we were both very hungry. We hadn't had time to eat breakfast at our hotel before leaving, as we were staying in Eureka and had 10:30am tickets for the Skunk Train in Willits. After leaving Willits we were having trouble getting any signal to our phones (it's very rural up there) around 1:35pm, when we finally got signal, we found Bluebird Cafe and Catering on Yelp. How lucky for us to find this quaint little dinner, as we were famished. The only drawback was that it said they would be closing soon at 2:00pm. When we hit the door at 1:40pm, we were greeted warmly by Sharon. We expressed that we didn't want to keep them late, after their closing time and Sharon was like, "no worries, take your time...enjoy." My wife ordered the Country Breakfast and I ordered a Ham & Cheddar Cheese Omelet. Both arrived quickly and contained copious amounts of flavors. My wife makes a mean biscuit w/country gravy herself and she's always on the look out for a good representation of the dish. Bluebird's version of biscuit w/country gravy, was one of the best she's tried, besides her version. HOMERUN, they knocked it outta the park. My Ham & Cheddar Cheese Omelet was certainly in my top ten, and those home fries OMG were TAF, seasoned with herbs, a little garlic and cooked to perfection. If you're in Hopland, do yourself a flavor and stop by the Bluebird Cafe & Catering Co. You will LOVE IT !!!“
