My wife and I were recently in Huntington Beach, where we met and went to high school together, celebrating Mother's Day. She did the research for dinner, which landed us at a side bar and restaurant off the main drag on 6th street near the pier. The immediate vibe was a cozy Victorian-style bar, sprinkled with taxidermy, and we weren't sure if it was just a bar with typical bar food appetizers. We decided to take a risk and were seated immediately by a friendly host....
I happened across this small bar and was really glad that I did. I visited on a Thursday which is Happy Hour all day. The bar had a great feel, and certainly seemed to be mostly locals. Everybody seemed to know the people working behind the bar, and I'm turn those bartenders knew them.
