I love Captain Jack's because of it's Old-World charm. For those of you thinking this is a fancy fine-dining establishment, you are wrong. It's no Mastro's, or Flemming's, but that doesn't mean the service isn't top-notch. The service is excellent! But the food (and menu itself) are Old-School. The attire is dinner-casual. Been here a few times thru the years. It’s not like what it was before but the food is still on point and service is great. The live musician at the bar is fabulous and friendly. It’s always nice to hear a live voice at an establishment. It’s a comfortable place for some prime rib and king crab ?.
We just moved to Huntington Beach. We were told about this restaurant and decided to go on a Thursday night. I called ahead of time, they said we didn't need reservations. We walked in to a mainly empty restaurant and were told we would have to wait for 20 to 30 minutes for a table. Of course we went to the bar, had several drinks and an appetizer.
