La Capilla is a local favorite that has service and ambiance that is a throw back to an earlier era, where all the good nostalgic memories of going to the fancy Mexican restaurant, are rekindled. The food selections run the gamet of Mexican cuisine choices - and the bar serves great choices often Margaritas, mixed drinks, and the beer selections are plentiful. It is a great choice amongst a rich number of choices of Mexican food in the downtown Huntington Beach area.
I am a gringo Carnitas Lover, so when I went to La Capilla while visiting in Huntington Beach CA. Carnitas is what I got ! I was hoping it would be good. It was in fact some of the Best Carnitas I have ever had in 63 years. It was fantastic, I have been back to Huntington Beach four times in the last six months and La Capilla is always a stop I make, and have gotten Carnitas every time. Funny thing is there was a sister La Capilla very close to where I grew up in Torrance CA....read full review

The food and drinks are excellent. Service is one of the best along with the right kind of attitude. Everyone is welcome and made to feel at home. Can't be beat. They like seniors also.
