Just a quick heads up, we just ate there this evening in the hibachi dining area. We always so look forward to the experience and the chef’s entertainment. Unfortunately, the chef (wearing all white) gave the impression he didn’t want to be there. It seemed as though he was just going through the motions. I watched him at another table a bit later and he acted exactly the same way. We were so disappointed, especially after watching the chef wearing a black shirt.
We came here, with reservations for a party of 7 for a birthday party. We ordered multiple varieties of sushi and other rolls, the food did not disappoint. Our two favorites were the volcano roll and crunchy roll... truth be told, we ordered 8 different types of rolls, and all of them were delicious! The waitress discovered it was a birthday party, they brought 3 scoops of ice cream with a candle on it, took a Polaroid pix of our group, and gave it to us with a little Birthday...
My husband and I had a nice dinner at Matsu. He got the sushi dinner which had a very nice assortment. I got the shrimp and vegetable tempura which was quite good, but a little disappointing on the veggies. The veggie tempura included white potato, zucchini and mushroom. Standard tempura fare usually includes sweet potato, Japanese squash, broccoli, green beans and onions. The Matsu assortment was bland and disappointing. The shrimp was okay. There are so many Japanese restaurants...
