I regularly hit local places for Tuesday tacos. I have been going to Hole Mole for a bit and Tacos De Anda. both are different and good in their own right. TODAY I went back to Trejos. I forgot HOW good they are. I have the carnitas and A:L Pastor . they were great on their own BUT their Salsas! OMG! ( I never say that) BUT they are good not for the fainthearted but tasty.
Got my Christmas food yesterday...just enjoying traditional tamales for breakfast with Trejo's great selection of freshly made salsas. Looking forward to splitting the delicious Chile Verde burrito and kicking back for the holidays. I might have to go back over the weekend when I think the have a fantastic Lamb dish. I've had it before and it's the bomb!!! Will call ahead to make sure they have it... I travel over 20 miles each way for their authentic Mexican fare......
Ordered two tacos to try out, the restaurant itself is in need of cleaning, the tacos where $5 and change each which is high upfront but the tacos are large not the street style size. The proteins where both heavily seasoned not to my style I couldn't really enjoy the overall chicken and beef flavor it was very intrusive the salsas I did try where all good and a decent level of spice, not the best not the worst.
