Pupuseria El Cerro Verde

I cannot believe this location actually closed!! We came here when it was opened in 2018, on a hot mid summer day. We passed through a sketchy neighborhood to get here, but you know what they say? Best tasting food is always found in a sketchy neighborhood. Imagine walking in through a door to a restaurant and immediately being met with a sense of home and warmth. Smiles on the faces on the staff when they see you and they say "Hola corazón ¿Qué puedo hacer por ti?" (Hello my love, what can I do for you?) as they lead you a table and take your order. I forgot to take a picture, but everything was delicious. I had a chicken tamale and bean and cheese pupusa. Tamale nice and juicy. Pupusa the same. I liked that more but i like pupusas more than tamales in general. Only thing is that they only offer a large bottle of jamaica. It's good and has enough to take home and save, but i didn't want to spend that much on a drink. $3.50. At the same time I was craving it.
