Ione Cafe

We live in Amador County and eat lunch out twice a week. This little restaurant has become our "go-to" for one of those meals when the logistics are right. Great traditional cheeseburger, not too big or small, with skin on fries at a very reasonable price. We like the waitresses the way they are, no pretense or fake smiles. We call them "the girls". To have found the "liver and onions" no frills down home coffee shop of our youth is pretty cool.

This is a wonderful place for the older generations as the dishes (I had the combination omelette) had very little flavor. The cheese on the omelette was obviously Kraft singles. My grandparents would have loved this place. Personally, I like flavor and personality. Both of which were desperately lacking in this establishment. I will say though that the English muffins were amazing. Not over-done, nor under-done. Other than that, there's not much draw to want to come back soon.

I eat in this lovely place from time to time! This is the best place to have a bite. I visit this place at least once a month. The meals are of high quality, the staff is helpful and the charge is affordable. I enjoy eating in this restaurant to have a good lunch.
