Habana Reviews
We went to Habana for dinner when we went to OC to visit family. The place was beautiful and ambience classy. The food and drinks were wonderful! My favorite was the pepper shrimp dish. Absolutely awesome! Also, try the flan — you wouldn’t want to share it even if you were so full from your entree already.

Viva HABANA Irvine! By chance we were wandering Irvine Spectrum and were invited into a “soft” test opening of HABANA, a Cuban restaurant. VERY warm and friendly people, great service, and AMAZING food! It doesn’t open until October 30th but I can’t say enough about it. Our favorites were the mojitos, avocado appetizer, corn empanadas, tamal, rum shrimp scallops (melt in your mouth), skirt steak (!!!), shredded beef, chocolate dessert, and the flan. OH the flan! Habana is a vibrant Cuban restaurant located in the Irvine Spectrum Center, offering a tropical atmosphere and delicious cuisine. The decor is lovely, especially the Patio, creating a pleasant setting for diners. The staff is friendly and welcoming, providing excellent service and serving popular drinks like mojitos and sparkling rose. Many customers have praised the exceptional food and drinks, highlighting the excellent service they received during their visits.
The menu features classic dishes such as Ropa Vieja, grilled salmon, and chicken empanadas, which are generally well-received. However, some customers have noted that the portion sizes for certain items, like the black bean soup and rice, can be on the smaller side, making it feel more like a tasting rather than a full meal. Additionally, the chicken dish has been described as dry in the past. Despite these minor issues, the overall food quality is good, and the ambiance is very enjoyable.
Prices are reasonable, though some may find the portions smaller than at other local Cuban restaurants. The service can be a bit slow and inconsistent at times, but the overall dining experience remains pleasant. Customers have mentioned that the music can be quite loud, which can make conversations difficult.
Habana is a recommended spot for those seeking a tropical dining experience, with a lively atmosphere and good Cuban cuisine. The restaurant has received praise for its excellent service and welcoming atmosphere, making it a go-to place for those who love Cuban food and culture in Southern California.
