Truly a 5 star Cafe. 6 if the option was available. Only drawback is pay for parking. Try the BLTA. Heaps of crispy bacon. One of the best I ever had!!

Clever Name
The food was very solid, especially the tomato basil soup; quite flavorful and had nice texture too. The comfort combo of grilled cheese and soup was great, and the BLTA had nicely toasted bread. Service was good too.

Three star review today. One star for reasonable prices, one for surviving the shutdowns, and one for convenience/friendly staff. I would have given a 4th for overall decent food, but their chicken noodle soup's noodles were as mushy as the carrots - and overall, much too salty. No real dimension to the flavor. After the microwave killed my "lean cuisine" lunch (which the manufacturer didn't seal properly), I thought MJ's would be an improvement. I'll never order their chicken noodle soup again. The tomato soup and chili are good enough to eat, as are all the other menu offerings I've tried. The choc chip cookies are surprisingly good and the baked potato is worth a try. Otherwise, I eat here for convenience and the price point. Really disappointing soup today, though.

I used to buy lunch at MJ's probably 2-3 times per week. However, after we came back from Covid the prices went up (depending on which sandwich, it now costis about $17 for a take out sandwich and cup of soup) so I don't go as often. I decided to treat myself today and ordered a soup and whole sandwich combo listed at $10.95. I upgraded to a tuna sandwich and ended up paying $13.95. When I got my order it was a HALF a sandwich and cup of soup which is listed on their menu at $10.95. Why did I pay $13.95 for HALF a sandwich and a cup of soup? The employee said it's because I upgraded to tuna from the grilled cheese. Okay...but the grilled cheese combo would have bene a WHOLE sandwich? Why did I pay $13.95 for a HALF a sandwich and cup of soup that normally costs $10.95? Nobody could tell me and I didn't want to embarrass myself any further in front of the other customers. $3 may be a petty amount to be upset about but it really bothered me, especially since I'm a pretty regular customer. :(

I found when I was taking a walk from the hotel. It is a nice cafe in an office building. The menu is huge. I decided on the 1/2 sandwich with a cup of soup combo. It was huge. The MJ's club was delicious, and the chicken noodle soup was very good. I won't be here very long on this visit, but if I get a chance, I'll return. Service was efficient and friendly even though they are very busy with lunch orders.

Ok food. Tuna salad is dry as the desert tho. The avocado toast is really bad. Smoothies are good. Pasta salad is good.

In Irvine it's in a business center. MJ's Cafe is close, convenient and the food is fresh and delicious.

I work in this building and come here often for lunch. The food is always consistent. I have had several of their salads, sandwiches, panninis, etc and everything is fresh. I love how they have an app that I can order on, pay via apple pay, and walk downstairs and pick up my order within 15 minutes. It gets pretty busy during lunchtime I'd say from the hours of like 12 to 1:30 but they service everyone quickly. I have even ordered food from here for eight meeting and everyone enjoyed the sandwiches and I appreciate that they were able to help me out last minute. There are a few small tables and umbrellas for outside seating in the courtyard. My only complaint is that I wish that they were open a little bit later in the afternoon. I believe that their hours are until 2 PM. That is OK for lunchtime but sometimes if you are craving an afternoon snack they are not open.

I stumbled upon Mj’s Cafe while staying at a nearby hotel. Great breakfast served fast and affordable. They even have outdoor seating available.

Best chilly beans soup ever! I was referred to this place by the hotel front desk clerk, and boy, was I glad! I had a BLTA sandwich as well. The food was amazing! Reasonably priced, taking the geographical location into consideration. The staff was very friendly. Highly recommended! Will go back there the next time I'm in the area for sure!!

Fast and friendly serivce, fair price ($6-$7 w/ tax) for a tasty breakfast.Place has a nice atmosphere inside and out, and a pretty big menu too.Social distancing markers, facemasks, and plexiglass as well, standard and appreciated COVID-19 precautions.
