Ramen was delish, it was pretty busy and took awhile to get a table for 8, but if you have a smaller party and aren’t starving, for sure get some!
My absolute favorite spot for delicious, comforting Japanese udon in Irvine!
While Shin-Sen-Gumi is famous for its ramen, I personally come here specifically for their amazing udon.
The Food: They serve classic dashi-based udon, but what really excites me is their cream-based options like the Carbonara Udon and Uni Cream Udon. We were sat at the bar and were seated immediately. The chef Juan was warm and welcoming. The food was delicious. We had a hakata red ramen and hakata white. With giant shrimp tempura and squid legs and potato salad. Everything was delicious, hot and big portions. I have been wanting to come here for years so glad I did.
