I wish I had taken a picture. These subs are huge. The meats and toppings were fresh. I could only eat half of this massive beast. It was nice to have the second half for lunch the following day.

Needed a quick spot to eat while in the Julian area. The 12" is enough for 2 people. I don't remember the name of the sandwich I tried but it was pretty good & I added the Italian veggies, which were a great addition to it. Overall, this was a cute mom & pop shop that makes great sandwiches & I highly recommend if you're in the area!
I ordered a Big Meano 12''This could easily feed two people but I lifted heavy this morning so it all worked out. These sandwiches are made with love and it took me back to the god tier sandwiches they make in San Francisco.Wifey got the Big Bird 6" and loved it. Come here with an appetite, the man working here was incredibly cool and knowledgeable about surrounding businesses. Highly recommended!

Love Fat Anthony's! Super nice people who clearly love what they do, and they do it so well. I've been driving all the way to Ocean Beach for my torpedo fix, but no more. The Meano is THE best torpedo I've ever had, even in Jersey. The gardiniera is housemade and unbeatable. Bread is perfect, fresh and the meats, cheese Chef's kiss!

This sandwich is the Hodads of the sandwich world. it's a shame its tucked all the way up in julian. the sandwich was huge, the meat was excellent and generous portions. the veggies were equally generous and fresh and the gourmet pickle was a nice touch. my new favorite go to at julian
