“We stopped at Alvarado's yesterday for lunch. It is located in an unusual location, next to a gas station and mini mart. It is a true restaurant, with eat in dining, nice decor and a bar. Very family friendly. The fish tacos did not disappoint, they were delicious. The beans were very flavorful. So many of our favorites on their extensive menu, can't wait to go back. They have a nice selection of salsa - some mild, some with some real heat. They also have Happy Hour after 3 PM with some good specials and a wide assortment drinks and on-tap beer. They have some large screen TVs, it would be a great place to watch a game & enjoy some delicious food.“

The hostess I felt should put the caller on for the few seconds it would have taken her to check us in. “Everything we ordered tasted great. Wait was less than 5 mins around 11 am on a weekend for a part of 2, turnover was quick. Dishes came out within minutes of each other. The beef rolls were the perfect amount of crispy from the pancake and fresh Chinese parsley and green onion and just the right amount of sauce inside, unlike other places where it’s slathered on overpowering other flavors. The portion sizes are reasonable for price and would be great for individuals and great for the two of us who shared family style.“

Dietary restrictions: They will happily take out any seafood that might be in a dish. They also have low sodium soy sauce on every table. Which is great for people who can't have a lot of sodium. I highly recommend this place.“

“We arrived by chance and didn't expect it to be good, but when we saw all the cars in the parking lot, we knew, IT HAS TO BE GOOD!! I had house potatoes, French toast, and a Mediterranean omelet (feta cheese, tomatoes, and spinach). My husband had steak and eggs with biscuits and gravy. The food was DELICIOUS! The coffee was spectacular (it's hard to find places where the coffee doesn't taste burnt). The place is old-fashioned, old school, and we loved it. It's nice to see these types of traditional restaurants still alive. It gets packed; when we arrived, there was a waiting list, but we didn't wait more than 5-10 minutes.“

Coffee: I ordered a Brown Sugar Iced Latte w/ Oatmilk If you actually enjoy COFFEE & and not the overly sweet / heavy creamer drinks, this is the place for you! There aren’t many places that have good quality coffee but that’s not an issue here.

Service: Outstanding!!!!

Atmosphere: Good people, Good Vibes, Good energy….if you need a place to meet up with friends or family, this would be a great spot! Or to catch up on work/school work.
