Stopped here after the beach to grab some food. We waited about 15 to 20 mins but figured the food would be fresh. Fries were oily, soggy and luke warm. Worse is that the patties on our friends double cheese burger were semi frozen and pink in the middle. As we were already heading out of town we didnt turn back. Needless to say it was a waste of money for our friend who didnt feel safe eating his burger.

Family has lived in Tahoe 30 yrs or so, been awhile since I have been to Char-pit. But took my daughter twice in early June and we loved it and she went again with my son and wife in early July. Great place, food, staff, atmosphere and price!
Food is alright. I got a shrimp dinner, and was disappointed by the size. There were only 3 little shrimp and I wish there was twice the amount for the price. Also experienced rude service from a male employee. He was unfriendly and very short with me, which was a bummer. Vibes are good though. It’s a cute little casual place with some chill outdoor seating. Don’t think I would come here again though :/
