Wish I’d read the reviews before coming here. I came to get some work done, but they don’t allow laptops, and if you don’t order food, your seating options are very limited to a few stools or a bench. I had gone off a photo from about five months ago that clearly showed someone working on a laptop on the patio, so I’m not sure if the policy changed or if it’s enforced differently now. Either way, I ended up getting my chai to go and leaving 🤷♀
I visited the place based on an Instagram recommendation. Everything seemed fine until I arrived and ordered coffee and dessert for my family and me. Unfortunately, the place doesn't allow you to take a table because it's only for people having breakfast, which I consider inappropriate since you're eating there. If it's a cafe with breakfast options, they shouldn't prioritize only breakfast customers. Obviously, if you want to have a coffee and enjoy the view, forget it!
What an amazing spot! The view of La Jolla Shores, the cove, and the pier are breathtaking. Surfers, kayakers, Beach walkers. And the food was so good. I had the American scramble and it was more than I could eat. Fresh eggs, fried potatoes, and full flavor sour dough toast. The staff was helpful and very nice too.
