The food is decent, but I would really only go out of convenience before a show at the La Jolla Playhouse. Service was friendly and efficient. They get those dishes out fast! We were in and out in 50 minutes. Decor was very atmospheric.
Been here a couple of times before the theater. Love that it is so convenient. Menu a but pricey and sushi is ok, not amazing. Again come for the convenience. House wine is Opolo and is a great choice. Would be nice if they had a happy hour or specials for the theater goers.

We decided to try James Place because we were seeing a show at the La Jolla Playhouse. Fortunately, we arrived exactly one bus load before everyone else. Our server made our experience great.
