Tour de Tapas Reviews
There were only two people serving a packed house and they were both extremely attentive and professional. The food however, has never been as good as the wine and atmosphere. The ribeye, ordered medium rare, came out medium well and a very poor cut and way over-salted. The salmon was also overcooked with a side of woody asparagus. I will go back, however, for the wine and service. It's a good place to sit with friends and share a bottle of wine.
Great place and vibe. Would avoid on Thurday nights though with the antique car sitch taking up all the parking on La Mesa...
Tour de Tapas was refreshing in every way! Calm, professional, respectful, clean, quiet, huge value for money in an otherwise mediocre touristy town. Our server explained the menu carefully with joy. My husband got the spinach and reminisce crepe and I actually got the onion soup when I wasn't going to eat!

Tour de Tapas is a charming restaurant suitable for many occasions, from family dinners to romantic dates. The cozy atmosphere is complemented by adorable decor and reasonable prices. The menu features a variety of delicious dishes, including bruschetta, mussels, crepes Suzette, and chocolate mousse, along with excellent wine. The staff is friendly and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. The interior decor is mostly secondhand, adding a unique touch to the space. The restaurant offers a nice and comfortable ambiance, perfect for date night or enjoying with friends. The food quality and flavors do not disappoint, and the prices are reasonable. The calamari, patatas bravas, pulpo con chistorra, and ribeye special are highly recommended, especially the spicy potatoes and the wine sauce. Desserts such as crema catalana and crepes Suzette are citrusy and paired well with vanilla ice cream. Randy’s expertise in guiding customers enhances the dining experience. This La Mesa spot is highly recommended for its delightful food, friendly staff, and warm atmosphere.
