“We catered a party for 30 people. Soft tacos..quesotacos..crispy tacos...bean and rice. the food was a hit! served in trays with all the sides. Even the owner made sure our order was complete...personally bringing food to my house. Many asked where the food came from. Very fresh and delicious. No skimping on the meats too!“

“Love love love their carne asada torta and shrimp tacos. I also love their onions that they give with fried Serrano. Also their habanero salsa is to die for 🤤
This taco truck has been my number one option and the price is very reasonable.“

“long time ago a friend bring to me a breakfast from this location and taste was really good, and this time I was here with my family members to take a dinner over weekend, wasn't on peak time, but location have a very warm atmosphere, the service is very friendly, We don't expect big plates with lots of food, I took some back home, In my side I order Molcajete with side of guacamole, in my humble opinion was really taste on the majority of ingredients, but some things were not to my liking, for example the chorizo and carnitas no too bad but doesn't have the really Mexican style, maybe some other like but for me was and one of my nephew wasn't, also beans I didn't know they put mozzarella cheese on top, I am not a very good candidate for this combination, I would have liked the chicken to be leg fillet, which is juicier, instead of breast. Any way we left very full and satisfied.“

“Absolutely fantastic!!! My wife and I had lunch here today and it was delicious. The salsa was fantastic. My wife said that the chicken in her tacos was the best she's ever had. She's from San Diego and eats Mexican food daily. My fajitas were fantastic with homemade tortillas.
Service was quick, helpful, and friendly. We're going back tomorrow (and thought about also going back tonight).“

“As soon as we walked into Sabor de Mexico Restaurant, we were greeted with a warm smile from Nick, a super friendly young man. He made us feel right at home, encouraging us to pick any table we liked. After placing our orders, we had a delightful chat with Nick about the fascinating history of the restaurant, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The place was spotless, too! And let me tell you, the food was absolutely amazing—top-notch quality that really hit the spot. The atmosphere was just perfect, making our visit a truly memorable one.“

“This place is so good! They have an extensive menu that includes seafood, soups, traditional Mexican dishes and breakfast as well as aguas frescas. We’ve tried the flautas, sopes, huaraches, tacos dorados, enchiladas, French fries and agua de melon & Jamaica. Their coffee is served hot and is very tasty. They give chips and salsa and the salsa is delicious. They get busy and sometimes it takes them a while to come around for refills but overall the staff is nice and the food comes out quickly. Since discovering this hidden gem, we’ve already been back twice and will continue to return. Also, their prices are very reasonable and the portions are great as well.“

“Me and my wife grew up in the neighborhood eating here. We were celebrating our 35fth anniversary and wanted to relive our spot when we were boyfriend and girlfriend. It's been 28 years since we ate here so we had the La Indiana burrito since that's our favorite plate. Just like back in the day it is still good, we are going to do there nacho plate I'm sure that is still good.“

“It was our first time back to this place since the change of new ownership. We used to come a lot when it was under Cortez ownership. Needless to say, we wanted to go somewhere local without waiting much so we decided to come back and try this place.
It was empty when we came in on a Sunday afternoon. The server was very welcoming, courteous and attentive. It was about 92 outside and inside it was nice and fresh, cool but not ice cold. There was plenty of parking ( they have a small parking lot and plenty of street parking).
We both ordered the chilaquiles, one Red and Green plate. Came with refried beans and potatoes. The portions were relatively decent sized; not too big and not too small.
They gave us homemade chips with some homemade green salsa, fidelio soup which were all good but the salsa in my opinion phenomenal. So the free entries were good.
The chips were homemade and not too hard and not saggy, not full of sodium either. The sauces and salsa are all homemade and delicious. The red and green chilaquiles salsas that this place uses were both handmade and great. The beans were delicious, the potatoes were rather hard though and in a very small portion. We enjoyed the food, definitely coming back to try other things on the menu. THEY DON’T SELL ALCOHOL……..
The prices were relatively reasonably priced. If ur local, and don’t want to go broke or wait for a ridiculous waitlist then I’d definitely recommend coming.“

“I've been going for over 30 years and was so disappointed in their food today. I get that food prices have gone up and the portions are smaller these day. I like the smaller portions. But to serve a half basket of chips and salsa in a little dressing cup that my chip cant fit in was disappointing. Their delicious green salsa verde with piece of meat in it was so not the same taste and was not good. I dont know when and if I'll ever go back again because of the disappointing quality of food.“

“One of the best garlic fish in LA County, Orange, Riverside, etc…. Delicious flavor and great size. Accompanied by salad and French fries; There is an option of beans and rice too. The place is very clean and tidy. The menu options are spectacular and I will surely return to try more. The service is very good too. The music was very loud and I asked if they could lower the volume and they very kindly did so. I was able to eat in peace. Thank you.“

“A little history about this place. Used to be Baker’s Tacos back in the 70’s. It was Kals Taco around 1978 but didn’t survive more than a year or 2. Then it became Goody Goody Taco. Don’t know how long they stayed afloat but probably not long as it was an inexperienced Korean owner just like the Kals Taco owner. Anyone know how long Goody Goody Taco lasted and what replaced them? Anyone been around back then and tried the food?“

“Great home-made Mexican food in a small locale. Very good menudo on weekends. The limited menu changes periodically. ASK WHAT THE DAY'S OFFERINGS ARE. (The posted, unchanged menu board helps little.) Not expensive - very reasonably priced menu! Cash only.
Parking: Limited # of spaces are shared by the merchants in the small shopping center. However, street parking is available.“
“Amazing delicious authentic Mexican food. The flavor and seasoning is so good, was welcomed by the owner. She is so lovely and very attentive. Keep in mind weekends are her most busiest days out of the week. Her menudo and handmade tortillas are delicious. Her gorditas are even more delicious! I would recommend this spot for anyone wanting to try a Mexican dish.“

“Food was super delicious, just like home cooking. They could have better salsas, other than that really good food!
Parking: The times I've gone I have never had trouble parking.
Kid-friendliness: They have a kids menu, very limited but good.“

“Love this place. Authentic flavors, portions are perfect and the service is personable and friendly. I have several dietary restrictions, including gluten, corn and dairy sensitivity. I also avoid most grains. I’m generally okay with mild cross contamination. With that said, there is a lot for me to choose from here. They always accommodate my requests for substitutions as well. I generally order chile verde, eggs with nopales, and various caldos, and substitute the rice for potatoes and ask for no cheese. I always forego the chips and tortillas, but the portions are enough that I am satisfied without them. I also avoid sugar and their cafe de holla is not sweetened so I can actually have it here! (Most places serve it presweetened). My husband and kids don’t have any dietary restrictions, but are super picky, and they love this place too.
Dietary restrictions: Gluten, corn and dairy free“

The foods I have tasted here, such as Chicken Soup, quesadillas , frijoles, rice, sweet potatoes ? and their tamales especially the corn tamales have been nothing but delicious and yummy.A Family owned business. They have made many major improvements. To their decor and equipmentOh yes. The hot sauces are a delight.“

“It was my first time going there. I noticed the name change from El. Cortez two ,Rincon I never stop by or gone inside, but this time it looked authentic and usually small family owned. Restaurants are very good, my overview of the food. Was that the service and atmosphere. We're very good. I had the beef stew. It was okay. They served. Fideo, For a starter, that was excellent. Also, the Cafe de. LA olla was very good. I will definitely be coming back to try the menudo. Look for my review in the future..“

“Clean, bright, fun restaurant that is appropriate for a get together with family, friends or for business as well. Had the mole enchiladas and they were very good. Service was attentive but staff could have been friendly (more smiles would help). Seems like a safe pick if you are looking for a nice restaurant in this area.“

“?? CHIAPAS, MÉXICO (via Eat the World Los Angeles) - Sandwiched between Oaxaca and Guatemala, Chiapas is a lesser-known regional cuisine that has just as much indigenous influence as its neighbors. As the only place in Southern California offering this special food, La Cocina de los Reyes must be making anyone that calls Chiapas home very happy.“
