“I've worked with many caterers over the years involving work, but never had the need for one personally. Our daughter was recently married in Palm Springs, CA, and I needed a caterer. Planning a wedding halfway across the U.S. was stressful enough, and I needed help. I reached out through Thumbtack, and Chef Matty was my only response. He responded in a very timely manner and, after a short consultation of our needs, he presented us with an abundant variety from which to choose. He didn't take my deposit and disappear for the next ten months leading up to the wedding, leaving me to wonder what was ahead, but instead stayed in constant contact with me and made me feel at ease. Because of distance, we were not afforded the luxury of scheduling a taste test ahead of the big event, but we were in no way disappointed. He reached out to me upon our arrival in Palm Springs and confirmed our time for delivery. We even Face Timed so he could have a “tour of the kitchen” of the VRBO we rented. I was helping the bride when he arrived, but he showed up in a timely manner and took control. He put my mind at ease so I could focus on my daughter. I had absolutely no worries! The food was magnificent and beautifully displayed, and guests are still talking about the menu. He cleaned up after and properly stored the leftovers, which were later brought out in the early hours when guests started getting the munchies. Chef Matty made our event spectacular! I have no more weddings to plan in my future, but please give him a call if you do, or even if you just live in the area and need someone to relieve you from the task of cooking for a crowd! He is sure to please!“

“The food was excellent! I rarely can find squash blossoms and when I saw them on the menu I knew I had to order. These are often seasonal and very hard to find. They were incredible. Piping hot, crispy on the outside and creamy in the middle. They are served with Marinara. I prefer honey drizzle or agave so I added my own. My mouth was singing their praises. I’m looking forward to trying so many tasty bites I saw on the menu. Two thumbs up for me.“

“Before I start this review, it should be noted that I’ve lived in Memphis, Tennessee, Kansas and also Texas so I know good barbecue. I got to tri-tip platter and my wife got the pulled pork sandwich. The tri-tip was OK little on the dry side, but that could be because we were there in their last hour before they closed. Although the tri-tip was very tasty it really did not have that barbecue feel to it. Grilling is not BBQ. I tried both their sauces but the sweet and the spicy both were good and they made the tri-tip less dry. My wife being from Orange County loved her pulled pork sandwich. And she has eaten at this place a couple times and said it draws a lunchtime crowd. The mac & cheese was pretty darn good though and the staff was super friendly.“

I highly suggest anyone in the desert cities looking for event catering to use Bryan.First, he is a great business man. He helped us navigate multiple wedding dates (COVID impact), great communication, clear and simple contracts to understand, and is a man of his word. His standard of quality is very high when it comes to delivering which I greatly appreciate. He also managed the event rentals / set up which was a huge help. Attention to detail is great and not a single thing was forgotten or overlooked.Second, the food is AMAZING. I can't say that enough. The first night we had a Mexican buffet and the guests could not stop raving about the churros. The second night for our wedding we did prime tri tip with burgundy reduction, Napa stuffed chicken, Coachella greens salad, mashed potatoes, frilled fall vegetables, and dessert display. We had numerous guests say this was the best wedding food they'd ever had and people who don't normally eat dessert went WILD at the dessert bar. I was blown away when I took my first bites at how great everything was. I was sad when it was over! Was a spectacular meal and the ingredients (meats, vegetables, etc) are very high quality.Third, the staff is exceptional. We had the same staff for both our welcome party and the wedding night which was really fun as our guests got to know them. They are 5 star and went above and beyond to tend to our every need. I've been to fine dining restaurants and his team was on par with that when it came to taking care of the bride/groom in particular, as well as our guests. Great bartending, smooth service, and strong attention to detail.Fourth, his presentation of food is beautiful. They use towers, tropical greens/flowers, artful fruit arrangements, bread sculptures, lovely serving buffets, etc to really elevate the experience. This is what originally caught my eye and made me contact Bryan - I don't think there is a single caterer in the area with presentation close to this. The guests loved this and we received many comments on the display after our wedding. Very high end and gorgeous addition to your event.You can hire Bryan and trust his team with your event 100% - it will be perfect.“

“I enjoy this El Pollo Loco above any other that I've been to! The quality of food in the restaurants overall are great for fast food but this location in particular has the cleanest atmosphere and the nicest employees out of all the ones I've visited.

The managers I've interacted with and employees alike are very welcoming and personable.

I wish the El Pollo Loco App worked better but surely that's the developer not the restaurant or it's management.

Dietary restrictions: I am highly allergic to onions and I'm so happy that I can eat here and be safely accommodated without hassle or attitude from staff. No one ever treats me like I'm just picky.“
