This place needs to rehab from the owners down to the coked out bartenders/performers! The drinks are crap and there are bugs everywhere it's dirty,everything is over priced and the staff sucks! Not to mention the performers are giving sexual favors in the bathroom This place is done. Josh the bartender was totally drugged or on something. They need to be reported to the ABC IMMEDIATELY. Whoever says this place is good needs to let go of the past and find an new bar that doesn't come with a felony.

The best way to meet a new pal is to sing Karaoke with them. Unexpected came to this place after being followed at two other bars. There was a table at the front and my two pals already requested a few songs. They brought the party and had everyone on their feet dancing as they sang Hey Ya By the Outcast! It was a ton of fun and free! They sang a couple more songs and it was my turn to sing with them. We all sang California Dreamin' by the Mama's and Papa's. That had the whole bar singing. Everyone singing was hanging a good time. Some more wasted than other but it was a such a good time! Made a new Friend, found a cheap spot to sing karaoke, and made some amazing memories! What an amazing Girls night!

What a hidden gem! This bar is very rustic/old school vibe. The bartenders were awesome and gave me some great history on this place. There is performers, karaoke, and dancing. I am not from this town but when I come back I know where I will be going :)

Great place. The vibes were awesome, fun atmosphere, everyone is friendly. Josh, the bartender sings great and makes awesome drinks. Peggy, the karaoke MC was lots of fun. She engages the crowd to sing along. We will be back soon.

Several of us attended an early Halloween party at a private home in Dana Point recently and decided after the party was over (curfew 10pm on Saturday night) we would hit the Anchor Line Bar for some dancing. Oh boy what fun! First off, easy street parking on a Saturday night. In fact somehow I got lucky and parked right in front of the bar on the street. We could tell immediately by the loud booming dance beat, what we were in store for. We walked right in onto the dance floor and a lot of people were already dancing the night away. We felt right at home. Order some drinks and we were off. Bartender was very cool and drinks as I recall were not too expensive for this high rent area. There were a ton of club girls out dancing away. We danced with them a lot mainly since it was a large girls night out with all of us in our Disney themed outfits. My main beef was the music. Definitely had a great dance beat but the same over tand over again integrating some pop song like Elton John's Rocket Man to Journey to Michael Jackson. They can tout music by all these popular artists but it was really the same droning dance beat for every song. Gets kinda boring after awhile but still danceable i suppose. I would have given 5 stars save the music bringing it down a notch. All in all a great stop to finish the night at. I will remember this club next time I am in the area.

I have been coming here for years, and was lucky enough to take part in their spot light singer series that their wonderful karaoke host and local artist Peggie Perkins hosts. The bar is not closed It is now called the Anchor Line Bar (Cabaret) same wonderful owners. Only a very nice facelift given to the bar. The entertainment is still as great as ever, the drink specials are phenomenal along with their adorable bartenders. It is truly the last little bar of its kind in Laguna Beach. The owners are by far the most nicest and welcoming people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Staying in town I had the pleasure of getting to witness the events that take place through the week.. Thursdays They have Peggie Perkins a Local Jazz artist that host karaoke from 8-12 and the bartender sings behind the bar, highly recommend popping in to check it out! Friday they have their Cabaret show with local female impersonator Endora with piano player Tony Tanner and they sing the classics and the crowd interactions and show itself leaving you wanting more, that goes from 7-10 following DJ and dancing. Saturdays also DJ and dancing. Sundays the bar partnered with the local Mermaid Store and HB Mermaids and offers a no cover charge show from 4-8 with amazing Empress Gin crafted drinks that go down smooooth, the show consists of two mermaids one male one female and they sing classic show tunes, songs, and do a little trivia game between sets. They are dressed in full mermaid costume from head to fin in beautiful tales and crowns along with jewelry. My entire trip out was completely amazing and if you happen to be in this beautiful town I couldn't imagine not stopping in there. The patrons are all so welcoming and sweet. 10/10 all around.

The Anchor Line Bar, formerly Main Street Bar and Cabaret, is the same Historic 1958 Cabaret with a great staff, Dj and Dancing, Karaoke Shows, Tony and Endora Cabaret Show and more. Warm and welcoming with a great vibe and atmosphere. Big Happy hours and nightlife. I hope this little old, new-named bar is welcomed back by its old friends. The staff is great and waiting to serve old friends and new faces. “Bartender bring me another”, I say. Thanks for the great place to be Anchor Line Bar.

This is so cool that the bar has re-opened! Such a perfectly classy new look and nautical theme tcheg across from the beach and really helps it feel like it's truly summer finally! The new interior style is so cool, sophisticated yet fun and the staff is as friendly as ever great music really cool new drink menu and some of the classic beverages I've always enjoyed there. Having open aname same great vibes, it really gives so much more character to Laguna Beach! Looking forward to planning vent or private party here soon. Cheers to the anchor line crew, it's totally awesome to have our favorite neighborhood bar open again!
