As a previous distant runner, I have destroyed all the cartilage in my left hip and it is all not arthritic. The surgeon does not want to do a hip replacement yet as I am only in my 40's so we are trying to manage the pain. I have done PT and cortizone shots. I'm a healthy 50 yr old former professional athlete with the exception of serious arthritic and joint issues, including double knee replacements, However, for the last 3 months I've had inflammation in my back that would not go away despite every physical therapy, chiropractic, laser, etc. treatment you can imagine.
