We've eaten at Hendrix many times, usually indulging in Happy Hour before seeing a movie at Cinepolis, which we always enjoyed. This time we went for dinner. The restaurant was recently sold. We knew this. The menu (including HH) has been changing . We knew that. The new owners and staff are trying to figure it all out. The servers are very friendly and try hard. The bartender is good. I've been meaning to try this restaurant out for sometime and unfortunately my expectations were not exceeded nor met...the food was really average and a bit disappointing...I'm willing to give it one more chance as I don't like to judge something or someone for that matter after only one interaction. I'm optimistic my expectations can be exceeded next time.
The experience was pretty average in terms of food. I the calamari was slightly overcooked but decent flavor. The lemon chicken was disappointingly bland but the portion was huge for the price. Overall the food lacked flavor but made up in size somewhat. Too expensive for what you get but not the worst.
