“Peony’s is THE BEST Chinese food I’ve ever had. When I used to live in LA I would drive two hours there and back just to get some of Peony’s cream cheese wontons. They are to die for!! Every Chinese place I’ve had their wontons are not even close to Peonys. Definitely dip them with the sauce! I also highly recommend their house special chicken. We can’t eat at any other Chinese place after having Peony’s.“
“My new fav Asian restaurant!This was my first time eating here and fell in love!The orange peel chicken with rice was a large plate for only $12.99. I’ll have at least one more meal with the leftovers. Could have easily shared it. There was a lot of flavor and it was very filling. I can’t wait to go again and try more dishes.Eat in and have their hot tea- very delicious! Atmosphere reminded me of Chinese restaurants from when I was a kid.You can do take out, but the ambiance was fun!The scents emanating from the restaurant while in the parking lot pulled me in and I wasn’t disappointed!“
“You may have passed by this very humble, tiny hole in the wall spot off Riverside Dr in the 4 corners area of Lake Elsinore. The place is high key busy w lots of traffic coming through. It is your typical no frills Chinese fast food where you pick your sides and entrees. Everything here is priced low. So why did I drive all the way over here from Temecula area on a busy Friday rush hour traffic? Simple. Chow mein & chicken wings!!! Though the noodles are the typical yellow noodles you find at fast food Chinese joints, I looooove that theirs has a hint if the white pepper taste and also has that wok fried, fire seared taste. They have spicy chicken wings in weet spicy sauce but I ordered it dry WITHOUT the sauce and had them add jalapeños with it. We waited 20 minutes for the fresh made wings (esp bc they were busy) but it's ok it was worth the wait!! This was a craving I had to satisfy since I thought about the chicken wings and chow mein all day long.“
