“I really wanted to come here and give a 5star review. Tried this place today at opening for the first time and food was everything that I thought it would be. Amazing soul food and have been looking for a good soul food spot. Greens were so good that we had to double back later in the day. Second time around there was a heavier set lady on the register at around 430 that was very impatient. I ordered the food as she was letting it be known to me and other 1st time customers that we were taking too long figuring out the menu or “confusing her” although she should be able to help guide how to order. After ordering while I was paying on the tablet she was yelling “name” over and over louder as I didn’t realize she was speaking to me. Instead of saying excuse me or just a “sir” to get my attention as I teach my 3year old. Just continued to yell louder in my face as if it isn’t loud enough in the restaurant. Then once I gave my name looked me dead in the face rolled her eyes and shook her head. As I heard her do the same to the customers behind me. As a GM at a successful restaurant I will say the food was great but that service is the kind to kill a business fast. Everyone else was great the owner is super hands on and interactive.“

“Easily had one of the best tacos is my life. I work as a chef and i had the biggest craving for tacos. Good thing I didn’t settle for a crappy place and took a chance on this gem. “I hope this is a right place, but I met them in Long Beach near the pike. I had the most delicious rice and garlic noodles. The staff was wonderful. The food was delicious and fresh. I loved it. I just wanna let you all know. I flew in from Kentucky and saw them outside of my hotel and I had the best meal. Thank you so much.“

“Stopped at La Casita Mexicana after work on Friday and their carnitas tacos were incredible. The salsa bar had like six different options and the green one had a nice kick to it. Service was friendly and my food came out pretty quick even though they were busy. I'll probably make this my regular spot for tacos.“

“I've tried just about everything on the menu at Shady Grove Foods and nothing disappoints. I can close my eyes and put my finger on the menu and I would be happy wherever it landed. I had Sticky Bones again tonight and I'm as thrilled as the first time I tried them and all the other times I've had them and in fact I feel like tonight's were the best ever. I seriously enjoy their food and hospitality. The hardest part is driving back to Cal Heights without opening the box and start eating. Compliments to the whole staff and guys cooking it up in the back. It's about to get even better real soon. I can't wait. Stay tuned. . . .“
