Small. clean, upgraded old fashioned inexpensive motel on a quiet street across from Mono Lake. - This was a side trip from Yosemite - and worth every mile. Lee Vining is a wonderful, friendly little town with great food stops and the Mono Lake Foundation visitor center is a must-see. Mono Lake is uniquely cool. and uniquely beautiful.
Adorable coffee shop, delicious cold brew and PSLs (if ya know ya know 😉), lovely garden in the back to sip in the sun, and super friendly staff! Just passing through but if I lived in the area I know I would be a regular!
There’s a lot to like about staying here. Small, clean rooms with a quaint garden area. The cafe has pretty good coffee and excellent food. And the folks there are super friendly. The one drawback is the proximity to the road. If a good night’s sleep is a priority, look elsewhere. During the night, anytime a tractor trailer went by, the building felt like it was shaking and the windows rattled. It was very loud. It felt like an earthquake. I slept awful.
