I live in Las Vegas and travel to the Bay Area in California often. I always make sure I can stop at the El Mono Motel and Latte Da to enjoy the beautiful garden, simple quiet rooms, and amazing coffee and organic focaccia sandwiches. I adore this place!
What a great find. The women behind the counter were very sweet and friendly. We had two sandwiches, a Mexican mocha and some freshly baked seasonal breads. EVERYTHING was fresh and perfectly executed. The flavors were phenomenal. I highly recommend this stop before heading toward or away from your adventures.
Great sandwich and latte place with a view of Mono lake. Wifi also.
I wish they served the sandwich on others breads they were thinner than the foccia, but it's tasty.

Latte Da Cafe is a great spot for an excellent cappuccino, espresso, and tasty sandwiches like the turkey vultures and the sprouted nest sandwich, served on soft, flavorful focaccia. The friendly staff bakes everything in-house, creating a cozy atmosphere with plenty of seating both inside and outside. Their vegan bakery offerings, such as the coconut cherry coffee cake, are delicious and worth trying. Visitors can enjoy a variety of drinks, including decaf for those with health restrictions. The garden seating adds a pleasant, wild, and intriguing touch to the experience. Whether starting the day with a dirty chai latte and granola with fresh berries or passing through Lee Vining, this cafe is a good stop for a near perfect latte and a tasty breakfast. The garden is especially charming, and the overall environment is inviting, even if some feel the atmosphere can sometimes be a little uncomfortable.
