Love the view, food, and service. However, the atmosphere is kinda unwelcoming.

Decent food but it took forever to get and the waitress was quite rude.

I played Poppy Ridge since its inception oh so many years ago. While there were some short comings; after retirement I played once to twice a week on a regular basis while at our home in N.CA. I never tired of the 3 nines and our regular foursome the last 12 years enjoyed these regular outings. During the recent remodel we lost half our foursome to the golf course in the heavens. I have recently played the new course 4 times and likely will cut back my visits due to lack of interest. As my long time golfing friend from out of town said; after playing with me at PR twice; it is UNinspiring. I couldn't agree more. The character and visuals are gone; the framing of the greens is gone; wedges are no longer required (putters and 7 irons work best). I liken the course to a vain attempt to look like Bandon Dunes. But, didn't quite make it......lacks character; save a few holes. It is clearly a "bombers" course and took "golf" out of the golf course. You all almost did the same thing to Poppy Hills as it got "bruised" (in my opinion) from the remodel there. Too much trying to copy Pinehurst and the hump back green concept; plus eliminated "thinking" holes. Long live RTJ & family......Those are courses we love to hate; but; they're GOLF COURSES. All this is JMO.....and, you have lost our group as a customer.

Just left the grill & wow what an awful experience. We ordered the sampler patter to sample the food. It’s was frozen food & microwaved. Gnats are flying all over the food & fell in the sauce. That was it for us. Thankfully we hadn’t ordered lunch yet. We left. Headed to downtown Livermore for some good food. I mistakenly thought this was a good restaurant. First & last time there. What a flop of a restaurant.

We hosted a 90 person graduation event at the Grill at Poppy Ridge. It is a beautiful setting and room, and it was very nicely set with ten tables and a buffet line. There are multiple buffet options and the food is average. We picked the location mostly for the location and space.

Our biggest challenge for our party was service and communications not flowing from the manager to their staff. While booking the place, we were told that we couldn't plug in our laptop into their Audio/Video. However, they have a very good A/V set up and the bartender had to jump in to help us set up.

On the day of the event, the events manager wasn't on site. While we had an agreement with the events manager that after the formal cake cutting their staff will cut and put the cake in small plates. The staff wasn't aware and it took forever for them to cut/plate it, while most of our guests left.

This place has potential, if it is run more professionally. They could be my chosen place for parties/events, if they can up their game on food and mostly event service. Hope management takes note.

Came here for brunch. I liked the lunch options more than the breakfast. The ingredients were fresh but the omelet was a bit over. The tuna melt, buffalo sandwich, and burger were great. Coleslaw had craisins and was refreshing. The onion rings were really good.

Delightful Lunch with a View at Poppy Ridge GrillAs part of a spa day with two friends, we decided to lunch at Poppy Ridge Grill in Livermore. It was absolutely delightful! The restaurant offers a stunning view. Our lunch was delicious, featuring fresh, flavorful dishes that were beautifully presented. What made our experience even more enjoyable was the attentive and friendly service provided by our server. Our dishes were served promptly, our drinks were kept filled, she made sure we had everything we needed which contributed to the relaxed atmosphere. I highly recommend Poppy Ridge Grill for anyone looking for a high-quality dining experience in a beautiful setting. PS the Thai Dragon Chicken Pita with coleslaw side was amazing.

Went for a birthday lunch. The Cuban Panini was delicious! Onion rings are amazing. Portions are large! And I loved my complimentary mimosa.

Attempted to visit for lunch on a weekday. Sat down, ordered quickly. And then sat for 45 minutes waiting for a burger and a club sandwich. Was then told "there is a big group that sat down at the same time" and that "it would be another 15-30 minutes". Insanity, for very simple food. Will not be returning. It's not like the big group showed up unannounced. Clearly unable to staff appropriately.

The food was better than your typical hamburger and hot dog golf course fare. I have the grilled salmon with miso and ginger vinaigrette. It was great, sorry no pictures. It's great to sit outside and eat overlooking the golf course.
