We found this place and walked in just minutes before they closed and made a decent sized order. They only took cash so I had to pop back out to the car real quick. It is normal for a business’ employees to be rude when you do this, but the man was all smiles and politeness! He really made my mom’s birthday end on a high note! Love the music!

Frosty Chalet is a cute little spot with a grassy back area and clean restrooms. It's a perfect treat stop after visiting Whitney Portal or on the way to Mammoth. Their old-fashioned chocolate and vanilla swirl cones and chocolate-dipped cones are quick to disappear. The cheeseburger is a must-try, seasoned well with toasty bits, and paired with their exceptional French fries. Don't forget to try the coffee shake or the root beer float on a hot day! For 30 years, visitors have been stopping by for their hand-dipped soft serve and delicious malts. The double cheeseburger and chocolate malt shake are favorites, and the hamburger comes with fresh lettuce, tomato, and onion on a sweet bun. Service is friendly, though the place can get busy. A great place to eat lunch or grab a refreshing treat!
