La Casa De Iris is described as the best place for long and Puerto Rican food in Southern California or California. The taste is the closest one can get to the island without paying a flight. Once inside, the restaurant does not disappoint. The mofongo was everything one partner wanted and more after searching since a previous trip to Puerto Rico. The portion, flavors, and presentation were all top notch. The interior decorations were super cute and well thought out. The workers were very nice and helpful. The food takes you back to the island. The menu has everything—alcapurrias, empanadas, mofongo. The Mofongo for 2, The Taste of Ponce, and chicken empanadas were flavorful, authentic, and made with so much love. The tembleque came out shaped like a heart. The food came out in about 20 minutes, and they even had Malta. The papa rellenas and the chicharrones de pollo are favorite dishes. The iris sampler is recommended for those unsure what to enjoy. Limited seating, but the decor and the food make it so worth it. This place is a gem.
